Biotique Bio Color Lip Gloss in Tangerine

Today I am here with another shade of the ‘Biotique Bio color’ lip gloss. Now I have completely recovered from my eye infection and back in action again. So let’s head towards the review to find how this shade fared on me.
How to Use: Apply with lip wand. Wear alone or over a lipstick.
Price: INR 360 for 7.5 ml.
Shelf Life: 3 Years.
Packaging: The gloss tube comes safely packed in an outer pack, the tube is long transparent and made up of plastic, there is “Biotique” written on the body of the gloss tube and it comes with a long normal doe- foot applicator. Though I like the applicator for the ease to apply the gloss, but the simple packaging really doesn’t justify the price.
My Take on Biotique Bio Color Lip Gloss in Tangerine
Color: ‘Tangerine’ is a colorless gloss (the gloss base is colorless) with very concentrated bronze gold & silver colored shimmers in it. I mean the gloss is completely shimmery and the gloss itself doesn’t have any color to it. The shade name ‘Tangerine’ is totally misleading. It doesn’t have any orange or tangerine undertones to it. I’ll say that it’s a perfect gloss for this festive & wedding season. The shimmers in it are not at all gritty, they are so fine & micro , they sit so nicely on the lips, and you’ll not be able feel the shimmers. I do not find them too loud either. The bronzy gold shimmers will add an extra glamour when worn over a matte red lip color. They are not much visible on bare lips unless you look closely into it, so I think a lipstick must be worn as a base to make the golden shimmers noticeable.
Texture, Finish & Pigmentation: Despite of being a shimmery gloss, the texture of the lip gloss is smooth & soft; the shimmers are very fine & small in size, the gloss glides very easily on the lips without tugging. The consistency of the gloss is little bit sticky & waxy, but on the lips, it doesn’t feel that heavy or sticky, instead it keeps lips hydrated & soft throughout. The finish is simply glossy, not very sparkly. Don’t expect this colorless gloss to give coverage so pigmented lips or shimmery gloss haters can surely skip this one. The shimmers tend to sit in the fines lines of lips. But the shimmers aren’t stubborn and can be removed easily; they won’t travel around the lips.
Staying Power: The gloss doesn’t survive meals at all. But it stats for 2 hours or so, without eating anything. The gloss transfers but doesn’t bleed at all.
Pros of Biotique Bio Color Lip Gloss in Tangerine:
• Despite being a completely glitter based gloss, the texture is smooth & soft.
• The shimmers are very fine and small in size.
• The shimmers can’t be felt when you’ll rub the lips.
• The gloss is perfect to wear during festive & wedding season.
• The shimmers won’t appear loud or gaudy on any skin tone.
• The shimmer particles do not transfer and can be easily removed.
Cons of Biotique Bio Color Lip Gloss in Tangerine:
• If you hate shimmery glosses, you’ll surely hate this one.
• The shade name is totally misleading; they should have named it “golden shine” or something.
• No pigmentation as the gloss is completely colorless, except the concentrated shimmers in it. So pigmented lips should skip this one.
• The glitter particles sit in the fine lines of lips.
• The glitters do not cover lips evenly or give extra shine to the gloss.
• Packaging is not up to the level for the price we pay. It could have been fancy.
• Staying power is just okay.
*I am wearing the gloss over MUA Matte lipstick in Scarlet Siren.
Recommendation: No, I will definitely not recommend this shade to anyone. No pigmentation or color. This gloss is only meant to be worn upon dark matte lipstick, otherwise don’t waste your money for this shade. I felt disappointed as I bought it only for the name but it turned out to be something else.
