Continuing with my reviews on the new Bite Amuse Bouche lipsticks by Bite Beauty, this review will be on the red hot shade “Cayenne.”
What it is: A collection of high-impact lipsticks in dimensional shades that have been handcrafted to deliver extreme moisture, soft texture, and creamy wear.
What it does: Swipe on bold, creamy lip color with Bite Beauty’s Amuse Bouche. Created and crafted by hand, Bite’s small batch, low-heat process preserves a balanced blend of lip-quenching nutrients, vitamins, and omega oils that are essential for achieving healthy-looking lips. Made with 12 edible oils and triple milled pigments, this lipstick provides saturated lip color with weightless coverage and a citrus flavor made from fresh pressed fruit. It is formulated without parabens, sulfates, phthalates.
With its sole focus on lips, Bite Beauty proves you don’t have to sacrifice performance for a product made from nature. Their lip products are created with natural and food-grade ingredients for beauty that’s better for you. They do not contain petrochemicals and are certified gluten-free.
My Experience with Bite Beauty Cayenne Amuse Bouche Lipstick:
Packaging: Bite Beauty has a very simple yet classy packaging for its lipsticks. The tube has a rubberized velvety feeling texture with a curved cap. The cap closes securely.
Shade: The shade “Cayenne” is described as a bright red color. Just like the name, this is hot hot shade. It’s a bright red with hints of orange undertone. If you are a fan of red lips, you cannot skip this shade. It will suit all skin tones and is perfect for a date night or for grabbing the attention of your man ;). If there is any lipstick which has the ability to give you a confidence boost, it is this shade, “Cayenne.”
Pigmentation: I am truly impressed with the pigmentation of these lipsticks. They deliver absolute 100% opaque pigmentation in one swipe. There is absolute no need to go over your lips with the lipstick again as one stroke gets the job done. This quality will make this lipstick loved by beauties with pigmented lips who crave full coverage from their lipsticks.
Finish: This shade has more of satin finish than all the other shades I have from this range. The sheen on this shade is more noticeable (as you can see in the LOTD) and it gives the lips a juicy pouty appearance. The sheen settles down after 3-4 hours into wear and becomes more of a creamy, semi-matte finish.
Texture and feel on lips: These Bite lipsticks apply so smoothly on the lips without any tug or skip. They are super creamy but they do not feel heavy on the lips at all. They are much thinner and lightweight feeling than their former versions which were the Luminous Cream lipsticks which have now been discontinued. I find them to be mildly hydrating on my lips. They have almost velvety smooth feeling on my lips and they seem to smooth out the texture of my lips.
They are not so intensely creamy and moisturizing (in comparison to their former version), but they do sit comfortably on my lips. I don’t feel like they settle into fine lines or emphasize dry patches. Since they are not so super duper creamy, I have had no problems with these lipsticks bleeding on me which was the issue I faced particularly with the darker shades from the former luminous cream lipstick formula.
Staying Power: Being quite creamy, these lipsticks do transfer. This particular shade lasted for 8+ hours with snacks and drinks and left a stain behind. There is slight fading after a full meal which will require reapplication. I love the fact that Bite lipsticks have all-natural food grade ingredients so even if I do ingest them along with my meal, I don’t feel like I am ingesting harmful chemicals.
Fragrance: It has an amazing lemony citrusy scent. I am all about the citrusy fragrances hence I adore the scent on this. It’s not too overwhelming and you can only get a whiff of it during application, it does not linger. This lipstick has a mild sweet taste.
Overall, I really enjoy these Bite lipsticks. They comes in an array of shades with a list of food-grade natural ingredients, amazing pigmentation, comfortable formula and finish makes this an ideal everyday lipstick for most lipstick lovers. If you love your reds, this shade is a must grab !!. I highly recommend this lipstick!
