My Experience with Bobbi Brown High Shimmer Lip Gloss Plum Gold:
A plum-colored gloss with bronze pearlescent shimmer comes packaged in a sturdy, good quality, transparent plastic tube with a black-coloured twist open cap, which has a tapered wand attached. This tapered wand enables precise application. This rectangular shaped tube comes packed in a rectangular shaped black coloured cardboard box. The shade details are mentioned at the bottom of the tube and box. The packaging is classic and travel friendly.
Having used and adored Bobbi Brown High Shimmer Lip Gloss in the shade “Beach,” I picked one more shade from this range – “Plum Gold,” which is a bit darker and bold shade. It’s a plum-coloured shade with bronze pearlescent shimmer. It’s intensely pigmented and one to two swipes give an opaque finish to my pigmented lips.
The formula is creamy and non sticky. Applies smoothly and evenly. It’s a lightweight formula, does not feel heavy. This shade has pearlescent shimmer and high shine which gives luminous shine and lustrous effect to my lips. Lasting power is easily three to four hours without eating or drinking. However, once I start eating or drinking, it starts to fade.
After having water or light snacks, it lightens mildly. After drinking tea/coffee, it does fade, but the sensation of having lip gloss on the lips stays. However, after heavy meals, it completely disappears, leaving no stains or marks.
This lip gloss tends to transfer a lot and leaves marks on cups and glasses, and cheeks when I kiss someone ☺. It does not dry or irritate my sensitive lips, instead keeps them nourished and hydrated. The slanted wand enables easy, smooth and precise application. It does not spread while applying and does not smudge or feather. I like wearing this colour on special occasions and sometimes even on normal days, when I am in the mood for it, especially for evening outings. I apply it directly on my lips or sometimes layer it over my lipstick and this way my lip colour and lip gloss both last a bit longer. Made with fine pearls and clear pigments, it gives my lips a beautiful and brilliant dimension. It is enriched with emollients and vitamins C and E, which keeps lips moisturised, conditioned and protected.
