My Experience with Bobbi Brown High Shimmer Lip Gloss – Beach:
The Lip Gloss Comes packaged in a sturdy, transparent, rectangular shape tube, with a black coloured screw on cap, which has a tapered applicator wand attached. The brand name and product details are inscribed on the tube in black fonts.
The shade and other details are mentioned at the bottom of the tube. This classy tube comes packed in a black coloured cardboard box. The tube is sturdy and feels classy to hold. Overall, it’s a travel-friendly packaging.
This time, I picked Bobbi Brown High Shimmer Lip Gloss in the shade Beach. This is my first lip gloss from Bobbi Brown and I was quite excited about it. Beach is a bronze pink shade with pearlescent shimmer. This lip gloss combines gorgeous, light-catching shimmer and gives a non-sticky crystal shine and lustrous definition to my lips.
This shade is formulated with fine pearls and clear pigments. It is enriched with emollients and vitamins C and E to moisturise, condition and protect lips. The tapered end applicator enables an easy and smooth application. It is mildly pigmented. It stays for around three hours without eating or drinking. However, the pearlescent shimmery shine lasts hardly for an hour or so and the gloss stays on for around two hours or more.
However, if I happen to eat or drink the shimmer and gloss both fades evenly. It has a creamy texture and lightweight formula. Two to three swipes of this shade give an opaque finish to my pigmented lips. It has a minty taste, but that’s fine! It’s a neutral shade which can be used for regular wear or even on special occasions. Sometimes, I layer this gloss directly on my lips and sometimes layer it over matte colours.
When applied alone, this gloss suits my moderately fair skin tone and the bronze pink shade with high shine pearlescent shimmer gives a neutral luminous shine and lustrous effect to my pigmented lips. It does not spread, smudge or feather. It transfers only if pressed too hard. It does not dry or dehydrate my sensitive lips, but helps condition and keeps them nourished.
