The Body Shop Almond Nail and Cuticle Oil Review

Hi Everyone,

Today’s review is on The Body Shop’s Almond Nail and Cuticle Oil. I bought this product a couple of months ago. I had very dry hands, especially the cuticles, and they were extremely rough. I have tried many hand creams from L’Occitane, Neutrogena, etc., but no difference. So, I decided to try something that is meant for nails and cuticles only. Thus, I ended up buying Almond Nail and Cuticle Oil from The Body Shop.

My Experience with The Body Shop Almond Nail and Cuticle Oil:

Almond oil is considered to be one of the skin savers. It hydrates and conditions the skin. I was excited to try it and when I did, I was not disappointed at all. It comes in the shape of a pen.  I apply this at night just before going to bed. It has a nice brush applicator. I apply it as I apply nail paint, but extending it to the cuticles and the area around my nails. Then, I give my nails and cuticles a nice massage for 10-15 seconds each. It gives a nice relaxing feeling.

It is a two-in-one product that has a cap to push and soften cuticles. So, I push cuticles back and go to sleep.

Almond Nail and Cuticle Oil

In the morning, my nails and cuticles are noticeably shiny, soft and healthy looking.

However, I use it as a treatment twice a week and I still have oil in it (after 2 months of use).  If I use it every day, it would not last that long.

Having said that, I don’t think it is value for money as the effects are not lasting. If I don’t apply it for a week, cuticles are back to square one, rough and dry.  I thought if I apply olive oil or almond oil directly from the regular bottles, they should do the same thing, but I was wrong as they dried my cuticles even more; maybe this cuticle oil works because it has other ingredients as well.

Pros of The Body Shop Almond Nail and Cuticle Oil:

  • Nice packaging.
  • It’s a two-in-one pen with a cuticle softener and a brush.
  • Easy and hassle-free applicator.
  • Easy to carry around pen.
  • Nourishes nails and cuticles.
  • Relaxing.

Cons of The Body Shop Almond Nail and Cuticle Oil:

  • The product is less for the price because if I use it every other day, it would not last for more than a month.

Would I Be Repurchasing The Body Shop Almond Nail and Cuticle Oil?

For nowm the answer is “no,” but I will try other nail and cuticle products and let’s see if I come back to this one.  Overall, I would not recommend this product unless you have really rough cuticles and nothing seems to be working.
