Today, I am reviewing the last shade from my haul of Burt’s Bees lipsticks. This is the shade “#532 Russet River.” I have already reviewed the shades “Magenta Rush,” “Fuchsia Flood”, “Brimming Berry”, “Scarlet Soaked” and “Ruby Ripple.” and “Sunset Cruise.” Read on to find out more.

My Experience with Burt’s Bees Russet River #532 Lipstick:
Packaging: This range of lipsticks comes in a brown rectangular plastic packaging with a honeycomb design. You can see the shade of the lipstick from the honeycomb and the name itself appears on a sticker at the bottom.
The packaging looks quite attractive but the cap is slightly too tight to open. Also, the lipstick does not swivel all the way down. This can lead to accidentally nicking off the tip of the lipstick.
Shade/Pigmentation: “Russet River” is again true to its name and is a brown lipstick with a slight reddish tinge. I personally do not like brown lipsticks as I feel they look a bit harsh on me, but the red undertones in this lipstick make it more wearable for me. This shade might not appeal to all but those who love brown lipsticks will surely like it.
Like most other lipsticks from this range, the pigmentation of this shade is quite sheer as well. You need to swipe it multiple times to achieve opacity. Layering does not lead to clumping of the lipstick.
Texture/Finish/Lasting Power: The texture of the lipstick is like a thick balm. It glides smoothly on the lips with no tug at all. The formula is indeed very moisturizing due to the presence of ingredients like Beeswax, Moringa Oil, Raspberry Seed Oil, and Vitamin E.
For a moisturizing lipstick, the lasting power is pretty good too. It lasts on me for about 5 hours with some snacking and light meals. It does transfer but not too much. The lips continue to feel soft even after the color has worn off.
The finish of the lipstick is a lovely semi-matte one with sheen.

I would recommend this shade only to brown lovers. I will not repurchase the exact same shade.
