Skin Tone- Medium, NC42, warm undertones
How could I not give in to the new launch drama of Chambor? They have come up with 18 shades of liquid lip colors and I had to get a few! I picked up the shades #405, #432, #482 and #483. Today, I am here with the revidw on shade #405.
INR 845/- for 6 ml.
Product Description: A long-lasting transfer proof liquid lipstick with a smooth sensorial feel and a creamy matte finish. Its extreme matte coverage provides a deep intense color in just one stroke.
My Experience with Chambor Extreme Wear 405 Transferproof Liquid Lipstick:
Starting with the packaging, I have to say I like the simplicity of it. It would have been great if there were names to these lipstick shades because now you have to remember the shade number and corresponding shade. Though the body of the lipstick is see-through, but addition of name is always welcome. I find the applicator quite user friendly, but if you have very thin lips, you have to be a bit careful. Description and ingredients are mentioned on the outer paper carton.
The texture of the lip color is very smooth and lightweight. It is very pigmented and one swipe covers every bit of the lip pigmentation, if any. I really like how it does not cake up or just sit on the lips like a sticky lacquer. It seems just like your own lips. I would definitely suggest a lip balm underneath to avoid feeling dry after a while. Also, it would be nice if you could scrub the lips to form an even base for the color.
The shade #405 is a gorgeous yet wearable shade of plummy maroon. You can play it up by applying two coats, but I like to wear this particular shade like a stain as shown in the lip swatch. It is a mature shade for sure but can be worn by youngsters as well, to events and parties. The shade is a classic and hence very much dupable but if you consider the texture and staying power, it is definitely a winner.
Coming to the staying power, I have to admit it was a pain to remove it off the lips. It stayed on my lips till the time I removed it with a makeup remover. Once set, it does not move or smudge a bit. Taking it off would require an oil- based makeup remover, else you might end up tugging or pulling your lips. It does not leave any stain behind if you remove it with an oil-based remover.
Overall, I would say, Chambor did a pretty decent job. I would have loved to see more fun colors in the range as most of them are more seem to be neutral. Though the price tag is a bit high yet, you get a good amount of the product and a real long wearing formula, so the price is justified.
