Rouge Coco shine is a range of sheer lip colors form Chanel. I picked only one from the range so far because the overall colors in the range ar so sheer that most of them were not even showing on my skin tone. 😛 For most Indian skin tones I suggest that you pick up darker looking colors. These transfer super sheer. The darker colors are the one that would actually show on medium to dusky skin tones. If you are fair complexioned, most colors would show on you. These are available in 19 shades. Check HERE
Bel Ami 66 is a warm wine color lipstick with a hint of shimmer in it. On my medium pigmented lips, it looks like a shade of rose brown and may be a hint of mauve when seen in different lights. I really like the shade. I have to do at least 3-4 swipes of lipstick for it to show a decent amount of color on my lips. The lipstick is quite hydrating but not a complete replacement for a lip balm. It is “almost” like a tinted lip balm but less moisturizing. No matter how many swipes of lipstick you apply, it never looks overdone or cakey. And the micro shimmers add a hint of glaze on lips but don’t feel gritty.
The light glossy finish gives a watery, moisturized look to the lips.
The staying power is barely an hour but these are not long stay lipstick anyway. But I loved the shade for winters. The packaging is quite slimmer than the regular Rouge Coco lipsticks. They have the regular rosy fragrance, no taste and feel very light on lips.
And this is how Bel Ami looks on me. 🙂
Chanel Rouge Coco Shines are really not must haves. They are more fun to haves. I like Bel-Ami. It’s great for sophisticated shade winter season but sometimes reapplying the lipstick at every hour can be tedious. I find Rouge Coco Shine a bit addictive because these do provide relief to dry lips. But if I have a busy day, the last thing I want to be bothered about is re-applying my lipstick every now and then. I don’t think I want to purchase more shade but I would totally finish this one up. 🙂
