My Experience with Chapstick Classic Cherry Lip Balm:
Now, with the winter months upon us, the season of dry skin and chapped lips, this product will be your new best friend. This is probably the most used, most well known type of lip balm in the market. So much that people would literally use the term “hand me the chapstick” instead of using the word “lip balm,” even if the lip balm may be of another brand.

This product is so easily available and so inexpensive yet it is probably the “best” and the unbeatable product in its category of “lip balms.” I have used high-end brands of lip balms myself, but nothing will give me as amazing results as the good old chapstick. I use this not only in winter months, but all day, every day, all year long. One swipe of this overnight will fix the most dry lips.

It comes in a variety of flavors like in the Classic category there is Cherry, Strawberry and Peppermint. They have also come out with a variety of subcategories for the product apart from the classics which are Active, Medicated, Flavored, etc. and they all perform exceptionally well.
So, getting back to the Classic Cherry Chapstick. It has a texture which is almost like Vaseline but it may be slightly thinner since it is in the stick form and application is controlled. I decided to go with the Cherry flavour instead of the Classic because the Classic is colorless and the Cherry leaves a slight red tinge on the lips which makes my lips look healthier while making them look moisturized. It does impart shine on the lips. It manages to make my lips look so pretty even when I am wearing it on my bare lips as you can see in the picture.
The fragrance is typically an artificial cherry type which is not unpleasant and not too overpowering either. It is completely tasteless. It stays on my lips for as long as I don’t do any snacking or eating. It does transfer a lot on glasses when you drink. Because of its long staying power, re-application isn’t needed too much unless you have a full meal. Even after the Chapstick is wiped off, the lips remain soft and supple and as if this product wasn’t versatile enough, it even has SPF!
This product is suitable for everybody – man, woman or child and with its affordability, one can keep it stashed in every desk at home or office and in every purse you own without guilt. The cap is quite small hence it may slip away and tends to get lost easily if you are not too careful. The packaging is simple yet very functional. The twist functionality to get the product out works to get the product back inside too and it is also very travel friendly. I highly recommend you to get this product if you don’t own it already!
