In January 2016, Dior introduced a new addition to their popular “Poison” collection by the name of “Poison Girl.” The new fragrance is described as a bitter-sweet floral, scandalously delicious, made for rebellious young women, pop – feminists who follow their dreams. The composition consists of precious raw ingredients. Sicilian bitter orange leads to the heart of roses, which consists of May rose from Grasse and Damascus rose. Venezuelan tonka bean, sandalwood from Sri Lanka, tolu balm, almond and vanilla end with a warm, oriental sweetness. The perfumer is Francois Demachy. The fragrance is available as 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum. I have 100 ml which retails for $ 139.39 USD and I am going to review it for you all in this post 🙂
Poison Girl is the fragrance of a modern-day girl, free and sexy. A delicious trap that instantly poisons and draws out the pleasure to the point of addiction. A bitter-sweet floral with mouthwatering Orange that is delightfully swathed in Venezuelan Tonka Bean and blossoms in the biting sensuality of Grasse Rose. Perfumer’s words – “Poison Girl is immediately recognizable, it’s an uncompromising signature.” François Demachy.
139.39 USD or 124.95 euros.
My Experience with Christian Dior Poison Girl Eau de Parfum:
This perfume comes in an attractive transparent glass bottle with a pink liquid inside it, in the classic shape of Poison. This is the first time that Dior has packaged any of its Poison perfume in a transparent bottle.
There is a black print that swirls to the top, the concept is interesting. There is a CD Logo on the top of the spray and the black cap of the bottle has a distinct shape to it. There is a silver ring in between the stopper and the bottle. Overall, the contrast is perfect. The name of the brand and the perfume is printed with black on the front of the bottle.
“Poison Girl” smells incredible; for me, it was love at first whiff with this scent. The perfume is simple but sweet and different from all my other perfumes. It’s like it was made for people who love that fruity vanilla floral scent. I think I like this more than the original “Hypnotic Poison” version.
As this scent dries down, it completely transforms. I was enveloped in sweet almond, sandalwood and a hint of vanilla with a bit of rose aroma, just perfect! I get compliments whenever I wear this perfume.
For me, this eau de parfum is more of a night-time perfume. This is a very long-lasting perfume – on skin, this lingers the whole day.
I am in love with this perfume, the bottle is beautiful, the scent is sophisticated, very sweet. It is intense, unique, and magical! There is something extremely delicious about this perfume even though it is conventional, something very attractive. It is marketed as a perfume for girls I think, but it will work for both genders. It is a very long-lasting perfume.
