Clinique Angel Red Different Lipstick Review

The Clinique Different lipsticks have been around for a long time and I am sure you all must be familiar with this range. A lot of shades from this range have been reviewed on IMBB (Tender Heart, Guava Stain), and today, I am reviewing the shade “Angel Red.” Read on to find out more about this shade.

My Experience with Clinique Angel Red Different Lipstick:

Packaging: This lipstick comes in a gorgeous silver ribbed case. The cap shuts tight and there is no danger of the cap coming off loose.

The name of the lipstick appears on a sticker on the bottom. The packaging is quite elegant and looks beautiful.

Shade/Pigmentation: “Angel Red” almost looks brown in the bullet and looks quite intimidating, but on the lips, it is a lovely berry/brick red shade which is not too bright or in your face. It can be easily worn for all occasions and will suit most skin tones without looking garish.

The pigmentation of this lipstick is slightly on the sheer side. While it does cover the lips in a single swipe, it never imparts a full blown deep color to the lips.

Texture/Finish/Staying Power:  The lipstick is quite soft and creamy. In fact, it feels almost like a balm in its consistency. It glides on smoothly without any tugging at all. The finish is a glossy one.

The lipstick feels quite light on the lips and is very comfortable to wear. It does not dry out the lips and feels quite moisturizing. Since the lipstick’s finish is almost like a balm, it does not clump or gather in lip lines.

The staying power of the lipstick is average. It does transfer and on me, it lasts for about 4-5 hours depending upon what I am eating.

To summarize, this is a lipstick with a nice balm-like texture but nothing extraordinary that you cannot get from a drugstore lipstick.

• Glides smoothly on the lips.
• Does not dry out the lips.
• Classy packaging.

Cons of Clinique Angel Red Different Lipstick:

• Low staying power.
• Some of you might not like the sheer pigmentation.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Clinique Angel Red Different Lipstick?
If you don’t mind low staying power, you can surely try this lipstick, but you can surely find drugstore lipsticks for much less with similar results.  I will not repurchase the exact same shade.
