Colorbar has recently included a new shade to their ‘Just Smoky Kajal’ range. Today, I am talking about the shade ‘Just Marsala’. It’s a beautiful and unique shade. Now, let’s get into the review.

It helps you to achieve the mysterious smoky-eyed look which will last for up to 12 hours. It comes with a built-in smudger that is as soft as a cushion which can be used to demystify the art of smoky eyes. The intense color and matte texture of the pencil adds definition and drama to your eyes. It has waterproof property and does not transfer.

How to Use:
After a few strokes of the soft liner along your top and bottom lashes, use the sponge smudger to blend out the color to the desired level of strength for the perfect smoky eye look.

My Experience with Colorbar Just Smoky Kajal Just Marsala:

Packaging:
Colorbar Just Smoky Kajal Just Marsala comes in a nice beautiful silver paper box with all the information. The pencil itself is a color-coded crayon with a black cap. On the other side, it has a nice small sponge smudger that helps to blend the kajal. It’s soft and works well to blend the shade. Now, it is a sharpen-able pencil but no sharpener has been provided with the pencil. Overall, the pencil looks nice and is so easy to carry around.

Shade:
The shade ‘Just Marsala’ is a beautiful wine shade that looks stunning on the eyes. I have brown eyes and this shade goes so well with my eye color. I just love the way it makes the look totally different and it’s a pretty wearable shade for all skin tones. The shade is pretty pigmented and requires one to two swipes to give the true color pay off on the eyes. The shade doesn’t have any shimmer particles, which makes it more beautiful. I can create a beautiful trendy look with the shade. I personally love such eye makeup products.

Texture and Quality:
This eyeliner has a soft and creamy texture, which glides well. It goes on smoothly even on the waterline – without any tugging. I love this formula and I can blend it or smudge it to get a nice smoky look. But, once it settles down, it doesn’t smudge or transfer much.

It sets pretty quickly, but when I blend the shade with the smudger, it suddenly feels a bit patchy and peels a bit with blending. Sometimes the tiny particles go into my eyes as well. So it’s better to smudge the shade very quickly and before it dries out. Otherwise, it gives a beautiful matte finish on my eyelids.

Drawing various types of lines on both my lash lines is pretty easy. For a sharp winged liner, the tip needs to be perfect, though. Otherwise, it gives a perfect even stoke with a single application. Also, it’s a smudge-proof, transfer-proof and waterproof eyeliner that adds beauty to my eyes without any mess.

Staying Power:
The liner lasts super long, i.e. for over 7-8 hours without any mess and it looks quite perfect by the end of the day too. The brand has claimed a 12-hour wear time but I never kept my liner on for that long. Still, I can say it will last throughout the day. It never settles into the fine lines or creases. The outer corners of my eyes are watery and the product looks a little messy in that area at the end of the day. You need a good remover to properly remove this eyeliner from the eyes.

Overall:
I love this shade a lot and the lasting power too. I love everything about this eyeliner except its peeling particles. Also, it’s a bit expensive for a kajal.
