Colorbar Limited Edition Collection Lipstick – Smoky Pink
Another beauty from my crazy Colorbar haul from Pune’s exclusive store, this is a pretty one I picked up. I love matte pinks that are matte are not blue based and this is exactly what I need.The texture is thickish matte and I love chambor powder mattes for the same reason, though this one is not as thick but I really love this lipstick!

My love for lipsticks began with Colorbar velvet matte I believe in college when they had some amazing lippies to offer at less than Rupees.100! Now, they do not deserve my love for their velvet mattes which stain so badly with the cheap formula and new packaging. But I must say, the brand has evolved unbelievably and I have seen it grow. Visiting their exclusive stores is a delight and they are increasing by the day.
The packaging of Limited edition lippies is shiny green or blue or pink and this one is pink. too bright but I like it 😛 the lipstick is called limited edition but I find them in the store everytime I go, you might find them too 🙂
the lipstick is exactly what I love about lippies, matte, thick, pink and helping to shape my lips up. this is a thick lipstick, and is matte, no shimmer no frost and the color coats the lips and I think this will great pick for pigmented lips as well.I love powder mattes and this one is on the same lines.
The lipstick would feel a little dry to you if you dont like mattes, or if you have dry lips,then skip this! It would also settle in fine lines and if you have cracked or lips with ridges , then skip this one. most thick mattes would settle in fine lines if you dont use a gloss on top. I personally do not have an issue with such things, what matters most to me is the texture and the color.
The color unfortunately stains a bit, not as much as velvet mattes but it does! I wish it did not but I am so in love with this that I will make it work for me! so to let you know, it could be dry, thick, matte and staining! still if you like it like me, try it 🙂
This is like no other matte pink I have so I love this one, Berry rich from Revlon is close but is not matte but saucy and a brighter pink, this one is muted pink.I wish this one did not stain but it will be one of favorites anyway.
Last word:
My love for the two shades from velvet mattes, “irish rose” and “smokey pink” ends here, I dont think the two shades are now made in the new version of velvet mattes, but this one is very close to them, so I like it.

Such a milky buttery pink – you have some great pinks /nude pinks in your collection I tell you ^_^ The chambor desert rose is quite a close match to this I think.
Or not. This is more mauvy pink. Desert rose (one of my favs ) is more nude pink. lovely swatch. *adores *
