Hope you all have not forgotten me….well , I am very happy to have a come back after really a long gap and of course missed IMBB a lot. Some little things occupied my time and hence I could not involve myself in my biggest interest that is makeup and IMBB but I have made and effort to dedicate my day to IMBB by writing a lipstick review.
So my review today is on Colorbar’s new matte collection – Colorbar Matte Touch Lipsticks…very similar to it’s velvet matte lipsticks. I really have no problem with colorbar cosmetics from the very beginning but its gradual price hike, every time leaves me with shocking surprise. This new matte collection speaks the same with its price tag.
Price – 500 INR
My experience with Colorbar Matte Touch Lipstick Tempted:
After going through a few shades of colobar velvet matte and crème touch lippies, I thought of giving a chance to its new matte collection as I liked many of the shades in this particular range. I think they are 22 to 24 shades in all out of which I liked Cinnamon the most, but still did not pick it up within my two rounds to the colorbar store, dont ask me why! My second visit to its store (for the same shade Cinnamon)made me notice a shade which was more attractive than the previous one…(don’t remember the reason why hadn’t I noticed this shade earlier again 😛 )
This shade is as tempting as its name(tempted).without any further ado, I bought this shade keeping zero doubt in my mind regarding its staying power and texture.
The texture is very close to its velvet matte collection but less creamier and more matte- ish. Though the name sounds pure matte but it is not actually according to me. The texture is creamy but seems matte when applied on the lips. It never feels dry and does not require a lip balm underneath. It simply glides on the lips due to its texture.
Dark coral…a mixture of orange and red…beautiful shade for night parties. Amazingly pigmented shade where one swipe is enough to hide any kind of pigmented lips. The color itself is a plus point to get noticed. Best suited forfair to wheatish complexion.
Staying power: This is satisfactory. Better than the other creamy lipsticks and it could last upto 5 to 6 hrs. Staining is there but unlike velvet matte. I personally like stained lips than to have bare lips after the lipstick fades off.
The case is like its crème touch lipstick. Only difference is the light orange color band in the middle of its body instead of purple. I find it sturdy and attractive.
Pros of Colorbar Matte Touch Lipstick Tempted:
• The shade itself.
• Its fragrance like Lakme’s old nine to five range.
• Comes with sun protection.
• Staying power.
• Good for matte lovers
• Soft texture even for dried lips.
Cons of Colorbar Matte Touch Lipstick Tempted:
• At present no online availability even on its official site(Available at colorbar stores)
• Price (too much for a brand like Colorbar).
My verdict on Colorbar Matte Touch Lipstick Tempted:
The shade is awesome with its matte look and it has a good staying power.Go for it if you are a matte lover. Thank you for reading my review.
