ColourPop recently collaborated with Instagram model Alexis Ren. The collection reflects her aesthetics. I have already reviewed the “Topaz” palette from this collection. Today, I will be reviewing a new formula from ColourPop i.e. Blotted Lip Déjà vu. So, let’s see how this product fared for me.

Product Description:
A pink n*de sheer matte lipstick that leaves a naturally chic tint. It creates a blotted lipstick look that you can build to desired intensity, leaving lips looking diffused and feeling super comfortable.
My Experience with ColourPop Deja Vu Blotted Lip:
Packaging: The packaging of the Alexis Ren collection is very chic. The Blotted lips Déjà vu comes in a matte black lipstick tube with rose gold holographic writing on the side –Alexis Ren x ColourPop Blotted Lip. The bottom of the lipstick specifies the name “Déjà Vu.” The product comes in a black cardboard box. The lipstick has a black cap which clicks when shut. The packaging is very lightweight and travel friendly. The lipstick easily fits in my clutch due to its slender thin packaging. The size of the blotted lipstick is smaller than their regular lippie stix.
Texture and Application: The concept of the blotted lips is to achieve the look when you apply a lipstick and blot it with a tissue. Blotted lips are like lip stains or lip balm which is lightweight in texture and you can wear it for a more natural look. The texture of the blotted lips is matte.There is a bit of tugging and pulling when you apply the lipstick. Even though it’s a matte lipstick, it’s not drying and is very comfortable to wear. There is no fragrance to the lipstick which is good. This lipstick does transfer on to cups but it wears out quite evenly.
Pigmentation and Coverage: The lipstick is not super pigmented. If you want a sheer wash of colour, you just swipe the lipstick once. If you want it to be more opaque, you can swipe the lipstick multiple times till you get the coverage you desire as shown in the picture.
Shade and Finish: The shade is described as a “pink n*de” and it is a beautiful pinkish n*de mauve lipstick. It is a perfect wearable shade for every day. This shade will suit light to medium Indian skin tones. The blotted lips gives me a natural-looking lips, which I love.
Staying Power: The staying power is really good with this lipstick. It stays on for around 5 hours. The lipstick actually survives meals and fades away evenly. Overall, I am really happy with the colour pay off, the texture and the longevity of the lipstick. The lipstick can be easily removed with an oil based makeup remover.
