I must say that I am a highlighter junkie. As soon as I see there’s a new highlighter in the market which has been loved by so many people, I just get crazy and make it a part of my makeup family 😛 This time, the highlighter which caught all my attention and sparkle is the Cover Fx The Perfect Light Highlighting Powder in the shade “Moonlight.” They also have two other variants – Sunlight and Candlelight. So, let’s quickly see how this little compact of glow fared.
A silky, talc-free, pressed highlighting powder that is perfect for all-over illumination and strobing. A creamy texture that is ultra-blendable and doesn’t look dry, this powder contains ultra-fine pearls to ensure a refined glow that doesn’t look glittery on the skin. It is available in three shades to ensure every skin tone can find their perfect highlight—allowing you to achieve the most radiant, light-reflecting glow. This powder can also be swept across the shoulders and décolleté for a buttery skin finish.
Suggested Usage:Using a powder brush, dust over foundation or bare skin for an all-over highlight, or place on specific features to strobe such as the cheekbones, cupid’s bow, center of the nose, and brow bones. It can also be swept across the décolleté and shoulders for a luminous skin finish.

My Experience with Cover FX The Perfect Light Highlighting Powder:
This highlighter comes in a silver-colored compact and looks exactly like a pressed compact powder. The packaging in itself is sturdy and has a nice mirror. It has a snap closure. All in all, a well thought packaging.
Where shall I start from? Till now, this has been the most natural-looking subtle highlighter in my stash. It has a very satiny finish with buttery texture. This gives a very “glow from within” look and doesn’t look like you have put a glob of shimmery sparkly highlighter on your face.
It is super blendable and can easily be layered on without looking patchy or gritty. Out of all the three shades available, this particular shade, “Moonlight”, is described as a soft silvery glow and it actually performs synonymous to its name and description. It provides the most subtle hint and I just love the way it provides an iridescent glow to my skin. It never accentuates my already large pores and doesn’t cling on to dry patches on my skin. It stays on for a good 7-8 hours on my oily skin. It never looks as if you have a strip of highlighter going on your face.
Pros of Cover FX The Perfect Light Highlighting Powder:
- Beautiful moonlight glow without looking over the top.
- Very smooth buttery texture.
- Buildable and doesn’t look patchy.
- Super blendable and easy to use.
- Lasting power is commendable.
- Travel-friendly packaging.
- Does not accentuate pores.
- Product is “clinically tested, vegan, and free of fragrance, gluten, mineral oil, and talc.”
Cons of Cover FX The Perfect Light Highlighting Powder:
- This shade would not work on deeper skinned beauties. They might want to try the other two shades available which would look more natural.
- Little expensive. This shade can be replicated using cheaper drugstore highlighters.
4.8/5. I personally love this highlighter and it stands true to all its claims. It would look flattering on different skin tones and skin types. It is a creamy powder highlighter and glides on effortlessly.
