Covergirl had launched the “Outlast Longwear” lipsticks a few months ago and I had picked up a few shades from the range. I have already reviewed the shade “Magnetic Mauve” and today I will be reviewing the shade “Into the Fuchsia.” Read on to find out more about this lipstick.
$9, prices vary from store to store.
No need to choose between moisture or color that lasts as long as you do—now you can have both! Outlast Longwear Lipstick doesn’t flake or crumble. It’s super-powered with moisture, so it stays super fresh and super flexible all day.
My Experience with Covergirl Outlast Longwear + Moisture Lipstick – Into the Fuchsia:
Packaging: This lipstick comes in a beautiful reflective silver packaging with a transparent cap. The packaging is quite simple yet effective.
The name of the lipstick appears on a sticker on the side of the cap. Overall, the packaging looks a bit flimsy as we have seen much better packaging by drugstore lipsticks.
The lipstick does not swivel all the way down inside the tube and there is always the danger of nicking some part of the lipstick while trying to put the cap on.
Shade/Pigmentation: “Into the Fuchsia” is so true to its name. It is indeed a bright fuchsia color, very festive and totally suitable for Indian traditional looks. It has a very subtle shimmer in it. The shimmer is not too visible and only adds a slight sheen to the finish. I would totally recommend this shade to all desi beauties out there. The lipstick is nicely pigmented and one swipe is enough to cover the lips. I personally like swiping it twice to give a better finish.
Texture/Finish: The texture of this lipstick feels like a hybrid between crème and gel. It applies smoothly on the lips and there is no tug at all. The formula feels quite soft and comfortable on the lips. The finish looks satiny and almost balm like. But it surely imparts a deeper color to the lips than a lip balm would.
The lipstick does not accentuate any lip lines, but I would recommend exfoliating the lips prior to application to avoid highlighting any dry patches. The lipstick does not feel drying on the lips, but it does not feel overly moisturizing either.
Lasting Power: The lasting power of this shade is much better than “Magnetic Mauve.” It lasts for around 5-6 hours with some snacking/light meals. It does transfer, but not too much. Overall, I am happy with the lasting power.

Cons of Covergirl Outlast Longwear + Moisture Lipstick – Into the Fuchsia:

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Covergirl Outlast Longwear + Moisture Lipstick – Into the Fuchsia?
If you are looking for a bright fuchsia lipstick in a satiny finish, you can try this out. I will not repurchase the exact same shade, but I already have other shades from this range.
