This red compact had been calling out to me since long and I had to pick it up for another reason too, this has shimmer in it 😛 so I was so curious to get a compact powder with shimmer in it probably just as a collectible but may be to use only on a wedding party or something.

The shade I have is 33 and is a nice warm match to me, not chalky not white not yellow, it is fine but has this grey tinge to it midly, it is darker than my skin tone but works and looks natural.Like you can see in the
sunlight pic, it has these silver shimmer, not very much, but yes they are there.

It comes in a very cheap and rough sponge like pad, I did not dare to use it at all, I used my face brush and applied the powder, to my surprise it went all matte, the shimmer was barely visible, I had to see and run to a well lit mirror to literally touch my nose on the mirror to see the shimmer, well it was then visible mildly. I think the shimmer later on settles in pores as the powder wares off so not an ideal thing for oily skin or for day wear.

The other shades in the range did not have shimmer, this one did, and there are at least 4 more shades. The texture is smooth but not the best I have used, you cant call it rough, and it is good and functional, nothing overwhelming.the shimmer is understated thankfully hence I am happy to use this may be as a base to lipsticks 😛 and to run it across the eyelid but as a full face compact, I think it is okay for night

The most disappointing thing is the coverage. it is very poor and like wearing nothing at all, it slightly mattifies and nothing more, and stays for 3 hours as oil control, so it is not your heavy duty compact at all, it is just a fun compact to hoard and try a compact with shimmer and nothing more :(Could have been softer, smoother, and stayed longer with better coverage.
