Diana of London Absolute Moisture Lip Liner in Sweet Pea Review

Diana of London Absolute Moisture Lip Liner in Sweet Pea Review

Hello ladies,

I am back with another lip liner from Diana of London Absolute Moisture range, and this one is in shade “Sweet Pea.”
Like the previous one, this one also is bought online, so I was not sure about the shade until I got it shipped to my place.

Rs. 290 for 1.1 gm.

Product Description:

  • Perfect wear lip liner, ideal to softly contour around the lips.
  • Enriched with moisturizing shea butter.
  • Excellent coverage provides smooth glide and fine shimmer.

How To Use:

Outline your lips, and then fill in lipstick with a brush. For a more matt effect, fill in the whole lip area with the Absolute Moisture lip liner, and then blend with a brush. Ideal for making thin lips look fuller, or for minimizing lips that are too full.

My Experience with Diana of London Absolute Moisture Lip Liner in Sweet Pea:

After seeing the swatch online, I thought this is a dark, cool-toned pink and somehow I am always scared to wear cool/blue-toned pinks as they do not go well with my yellow skin tone. I was scared that this is also one of those shades which make me look pale and I will end up giving it to my sister (such colours suit her). Still I bought it just to experiment with different shades and when I got the lip liner, I found that this is actually the same shade of the pink as the sweet pea flower. It is soft pink with blue undertone. My heart sank for a second, thinking that it won’t suit me. Still I gave it a try, most of the soft pinks never show up well on my slightly pigmented lips, but this one was able to cover my lips perfectly with colour. I was amazed that such soft shade is this pigmented. It showed up perfectly on my lips and it did not look as blue as I thought it was. To me, it is like a dreamy pink shade which looked fine against my yellowish skin.

Pink Lip Liner 2

Texture of this lip liner is very soft, it glides easily on lips without tugging. It is creamy, still the tip never breaks with pressure while applying.  It gives a soft matte finish to lips if used without a lip balm. By adding a little bit of lip balm or clear gloss on top of it, one can achieve a glossy look too. It is non-shimmery and I like it this way.

Pink Lip Liner 3

One added benefit is its staying power; this particular shade stays for 4-5 hours on my lips. It survives coffee and dry snacks, but starts fading after a full meal. However, if the dabbing with the tissue technique is used, staying power increases. It can go with most of the soft, cool toned pinks and berry pink lipsticks. This shade is a good choice for work too.

Cons of Diana of London Absolute Moisture Lip Liner in Sweet Pea:

  • Not very widely available. Though online it is available in most of the sites on great discounts, so it is not really a con for everyone.
  • May not suit all skin tones.

Do I Recommend Diana of London Absolute Moisture Lip Liner in Sweet Pea?

Yes, if you are looking for highly pigmented, cool-toned soft pink which lasts long and is creamy in texture, then go for it. It suits yellowish skin tone too.

  2. Hi Sweta ,

Thats looks awesome . It doesnt look as though its a lip pencil . The texture of lip pencil on your lips looks as though it is achieved by lipstick and not lip pencil . But the colour os not really pink , its somewhat a shade in mauve. Anyways , good going. 🙂
