My Experience with Dolce Gabbana Blush Apricot
Since I literally have a love affair with Dolce & Gabbana blush Rose (I am about to hit pan on it) that I wanted to pick another color from the range. I was a bit confused about picking up apricot but the SA insisted that I gave it a go. I am not disappointed at all.
True to its name it is a warm apricot blush. I’d call it a true summer blush but I wear a lot of orange lip in winters as well so this has become my go to blush for all things citrusy. The color works great on all skin tones but it is especially a great color for medium to dusky skin tones.
The color has also become my favourite transition eyeshadow color for eye makeup as well. It’s not too orangey and has a lovely earthiness to it so it gives just the right amount of warmth to the eye makeup. Plus I feel it makes other eyeshadow colors pop more.
The packaging is classic gold. Comes with a rather useful little blush brush. The brush is wide enough for touchups and is pretty soft as well. The packaging is sleek and takes minimal space in your makeup pouch.
The texture is smooth and the blush is finely milled. It blends in beautifully on the skin and leaves a light glow on the cheeks. The blush does not look powdery at all upon application.
It is a very pigmented blush so I’d suggest to build it up slowly. The staying power is incredible and pretty much stays on for good 6-7 hours and I still see a faint color on the cheeks until I completely remove it with a makeup remover.
It is fragrance free and has never caused any breakouts. The blush does not accentuate any pores on the cheeks.
Overall, love in pan! 😀 Highly recommend it. 🙂
