Monsoon is on full swing in Bangalore, it rains every evening and the weather is pleasant all the time. But that also makes the weather gloomy and dull at times, and in such a weather, a little bit of bright color is really needed in outfit and makeup to lift your mood. Today, I am going to review a bright lip gloss for all of you from the ELF Ex-tra lip gloss range. In my previous review from this range, we girls had lots of fun naming ex-tra lip gloss with Indian guys names 😛 The shades in this range are named after guy’s names and the theme is that this gloss will make your lips so good looking that even your Ex will want you.

This ultra-smooth, rich colored gloss is loaded with extra ingredients to moisturize and condition. Create lips so gorgeous, they’ll have your exes wanting you back! My Experience with ELF Ex-tra Lip Gloss – Brett:

Brett is a red shade with a hint of orange in it. Though it looks more red in the tube than on my pigmented lips. This has lots of fine shimmer in it, which adds shine to the lips but does not look very chunky. This shimmer makes it a great choice for parties, but for work, I personally will not wear something this shiny; however, people who love shiny lips will not find it difficult to sport it even for formal occasions as it’s not overtly shimmery. The formula feels moisturizing on the lips, but it is non-sticky which a plus for people who hate that sticky feel on lips. However, it does not feel completely weightless on the lips. It has a sweet fruity scent to it, which is not at all overwhelming.

About the lasting power, it is not long lasting.  Without any eating, it lasts only for 3-4 hours, but it does not survive a meal.  The wand is a bit different than the regular slant gloss wand applicators.  The applicator is thin and long, has some smooth but flexible material which bends easily for application.  In one go, an adequate amount of product comes out on the applicator which is sufficient for one application, so no dip-dip of wand needed.

At the price that it comes, it’s a great quality product. If you like bright and shiny lips, this lightweight and moisturizing lip gloss is a great option for you.  But if you want a long-lasting product and love to use only high-end brands, then give it a miss 😛
