Elizabeth Arden was among the very first high end brands I touched when I was befriending makeup after my college life. I have always liked their products, and I seriously carry the opinion that Elizabeth Arden is an underrated brand despite the fact that it offers mostly winners at fair price tags. Today’s review is about Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Ultra Lipstick in the shade Vintage Red. Let’s read on for details.
This lustrous, color-saturated lipstick infused with Volulip™ delivers brilliant moisturizing color with lasting comfort and shine. Achieve plumper, fuller-looking, more defined lips that feel youthfully soft, smooth and nourished.
Features and Benefits:
• Ultra-brilliant color, radiant shine, and lips feel moisturized for up to 20 hours.
• Infused with Volulip™, a new ultra-plumping agent so that lips appear fuller and more plumped.
• Reduces appearance of vertical lines on lips, and soothes, protects, and preserves lips.
• Plumps lips with moisture-enriched pigments.
My Experience with Elizabeth Arden Vintage Red Ceramide Ultra Lipstick:
The classy, metallic packaging is based on the signature Elizabeth Arden Red Door theme. This iconic and metallic packaging symbolises class and quality here. The cap closes tight, the lipstick has some weight due to metallic case, but it is travel friendly.
Starting with the range, Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Ultra Lipstick range comprises of 32 brilliant shades. The formula is superb; highly moisturising, hydrating, soothing and creamy. It glides on like butter and comforts even extremely dry lips. Throughout the wearing hours, it keeps lips hydrated with the splash of moisture from the formula. It has no taste, no fragrance. The lipstick is slightly transferrable.
The shade, Vintage Red, came as a surprise to me. It is a deep and muted red shade with silver frost finish. The shade is subtle and not loud; a perfect pick for those who are not comfortable carrying bold reds. The shade is an all rounder for office, college or just a day out. The frosty finish is not awkward and it adds lustre to the lips. It is well pigmented too and one to two swipes deposit full color on lips. It is such a shade that can for sure lift your mood on a bad or dull working day.
The lipstick doesn’t survive a full meal due to the creamy formula but withstands all water and beverages. A light snack will dim away the lustre but the muted red shade is very much there on lips. Overall, forgetting the proper meal part, the longevity is good 5-6 hours.
Summing up pros and cons:
Pros of Elizabeth Arden Vintage Red Ceramide Ultra Lipstick:
• A beautiful and wearable muted red with silver lustre.
• Frost doesn’t look awkward.
• Perfect shade for workplace and for everyday use.
• Soothing and comforting for dry lips.

• Glides on easily.
• Classy and quality packaging.
• Decent wear time; say 5-6 hours on average.
• Not heavily transferrable.
• Survives regular fluid intake.
• Fragrance free and tasteless.
• Reapplication is easy.
Cons of Elizabeth Arden Vintage Red Ceramide Ultra Lipstick:
• Doesn’t survive a meal.
• I wish the finish was just creamy, not frosty.

Yes, I recommend it because it is a beautiful shade without any exaggeration. A wearable red with creamy formula is not common. I will repurchase this, if required.
