My Experience with Essence 07 Plum Cake Long-Lasting Lipliner:
These long lasting lip liners from Essence come in retractable form, so you need not to indulge in the messy sharpening sessions again and again. The lip-liner comes enclosed in a mauve colored plastic retractable pencil. The cap is also of the same color. The shade is very similar to the shade of the lip-liner. Hence, it helps to spot it in the vanity easily. The lip-liner is easy to carry because of its sleek and pencil packaging.
The shade Plum Cake is a nice mauve shade with some cool undertones. This shade will suit most of the Indian skin tones well. This shade will look pretty during winters. The lip-liner sets with a nice matte finish and suits my skin tone very well. It looks pretty on the lips and looks like I have worn a nice mauve lipstick. I absolutely love the color of this lip-liner.
The formula of the lip liner is amazing. It is so soft and super creamy. It glides very smoothly on the lips without any tugging or pulling. But, it is so soft that it tends to break very easily with a little pressure. It has decent pigmentation. But it takes 2-3 swipes for the color to show up properly. It is completely matte and looks beautiful on my lips.
The lip liner is not waterproof. It stays for some 4-5 hours on my lips and then it starts to fade. It does not survive heavy meals. Overall, I am pretty impressed with the quality of this lip liner. Essence being a drugstore brand gives nice quality with a variety of shades.
