My Experience with Essence Long-Lasting Lip Liner – Purely Me:

This lip liner from Essence is in a retractable pencil form. The lip liner packaging is made up of plastic and it is of the same shade as the liner inside, that makes it easy to identify in a stash. There’s a sharpener provided at one end.

“Purely Me” is a n*de lip liner which looks stark white on my lips. This shade of lip liner is definitely not for Indian skin tones. It makes me look washed out totally, so I cannot use it to fill in my lips. This shade of lip liner is for extremely fair skin tones, but when I used it under my favorite n*de lipstick, it went well with that.

Nude lip liner

Texture-wise, the lip liner is good. It is so soft and creamy and glides so smoothly on the lips. It does not tug or pull on the lips. It feels light on the lips, but accentuates fine lines of the lips and feels a little drying. This lip liner is decently pigmented and gives close to an opaque coverage in a single swipe.

The staying power is 5-6 hours. It prevents my lipstick from feathering and bleeding and enhances the lasting power of my lipstick to some extent. Overall, texture wise, it is good, but such a shade of lip liner would not go well with Indian skin tones.
