Essence Big Bang Metallic Effect Mono Eyeshadow Review

Hello IMBBians,

It has been over a year since I began writing on IMBB! It has been a wonderful journey and I have learnt so much about makeup in the past one year; feeling rather nostalgic 😛 I have learnt so much stuff, just by reading reviews and articles on the blog and of course drawn so much inspiration from Rati 🙂 One year wonderfully spent on IMBB and more to come 🙂 Today, I will be reviewing an eyeshadow from Essence with the shade name “Big Bang.” Now, let’s head to the review straight 🙂

My Experience with Essence Big Bang Metallic Effect Mono Eyeshadow:

These mono eyeshadows from Essence come in cute round packaging.  I don’t know if I’m the only one here that find eyeshadow things cute 😀 The little plastic case has a sturdy cap that shuts with a click; easy to carry around too in your purse.

Packaging

“Big Bang” is a shimmery pink eyeshadow. The pink is subtle and gives a satiny finish. The shimmers are not chunky or gritty. The texture is also pretty smooth and clean. It is easy to apply and blend the shadow.

Pink eyes

A little issue I have is with the pigmentation of this shade. It is very subtle and not very bright. I was expecting it to be a tad brighter, so I was a bit disappointed, nonetheless, it looks good on the eyes.

Pink eyeshadow

The wear time is about 2.5 hours without any primer and up to 4 hours with a primer. There is a bit of fallout too. It is not powdery or chalky thankfully.

Swatch on hands

One thing that I noticed was that not all of the color I pick up gets to the lid, 50% of it just sits on the brush and doesn’t budge. I could not build the intensity of the color though.  It’s quite an average eyeshadow, nothing to rave about.
