Essence Marble Mania Eye Shadow in Seriously Mixed Up Review

Recently I ordered some stuff from Essence online and was amazed at their quality and the pricing. Seriously, I mean I really don’t know why I did not use them before. The kind of eye shadow crazy that I am, I always want more and more. I seriously think the baked eye shadows look amazing.

Price: INR 349

Ingredients: Although they are mentioned on the bottom of the eye shadow pot, there is a sticker on it which when I tried removing has taken the ingredients away with it.

Quantity: 1.5g

Packaging: This eye shadow comes in a small round plastic compact container with a see through top. It opens and closes with a shut and is sturdy enough to travel with. But still be careful in not dropping it as it might either crack the top or crack the eye shadow itself. The name of the range is printed on the lid and the name of the shadow is printed at the bottom.

The Company Claims: Baked eye shadow provides striking color and shimmer. Use wet or dry.

My Experience With Essence Marble Mania Eye Shadow in Seriously Mixed Up:

The very first thing that caught my eye is the way the eye shadow looks in the pot. I mean it is soo tempting to have it. Although I also wanted to show how tiny it is. Seriously mixed up is a baked eye shadow that gives a marble effect. Like those marble cakes. It is a very pretty combination of shimmery peach with metallic gold and shiny bronze. It does have shimmer particles but they are very finely mulled and not at all chunky. You will definitely not feel the shimmer on your lids. It is very light on the eye lids as well.

The texture of the eye shadow is very creamy and soft. It gives a smooth shimmery finish. Since the texture is creamy and smooth it is very easy to blend and work with. I prefer mixing all the colors, as using only one is very difficult. I generally swirl my finger on the surface and use the shadow on the lids which gives a more shimmery bronze color. The peach shade is definitely lost in mixing up.

Pigmentation is crazy. Only single swipe is enough to get the color on the lids. Since it is very dark, one has to be careful of not going overboard with it. Different shades can be formed and intensity can be worked upon. It looks different from different angles, as you can see from the swatches below. I like using it in dry form as it gets even more dark when wet.

The eye shadow stays on my eyelids for around 4-5 hours without the primer. Also it does not seem to crease on oily lids. I like using my fingers as it is much easier to get desired color and also as no applicator is provided. Don’t know why the pictures look distorted and blur in the center, maybe that’s where I have used the eye shadow initially.
