Essence Mattifying Compact Powder Review

Essence Mattifying Compact Powder

Sweeties,

Essence Mattifying Compact powder

Today, I will be reviewing one of my favorite products, which I have been using every single day since the last two months! As you all know. I recently had got loads of goodies from Swiss and this is one of them ๐Ÿ˜€ You can see my haul post here:) Being an oily-skinned beauty, I always go for mattifying products, which help to keep oil under control and give a nice glow on the face without being blotchy and dry. One such fab product is Essence Mattifying Compact Powder. It is available in 5 shades, for all their shade details visit the company website here.

Essence Compact

A little bit about the company, Essence is a local European brand having stores across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, UK and various other EU countries. Their products are very reasonably priced and of good quality! Their nail paints and eye makeup products are quite a rage! So, I would suggest you all to do check their products whenever you are travelling across EU.

My Take on Essence Mattifying Compact:

I totally love this! Can it be anymore straightforward? Its the best compact powder I have come across! It controls oil easily for 4 to 5 hours!! Even after 5 hours, my face is not that oily as it used to be earlier, just a little dab with tissue and I am done. Its available in 5 shades and the one I have is 01 Natural Beige. You can use powder puff or kabuki brush to apply it on your face, I prefer a kabuki brush as it ensures easier blending and even application. Its not highly pigmented, but does what a compact is suppose to do, i.e, brightens up the face and keeps the face oil and shine free for hours! It does not give you enough coverage, so if you are looking for full/medium coverage, then this is definitely not for you.

Compact Blended

Pros:

  • Does what it claims, i.e., keeps the skin oil and shine free for hours!
  • Very reasonably priced.
  • Good shade selection.
  • Brightens up the face.
  • Perfect for day time touch ups.
  • The powder is extremely finely milled and disappears evenly on the skin.
  • Even though it is mattifying, it does not leave any dry or blotchy patches.
  • Quantity is great! Even after using for almost 2 months everyday, I still have more than half left!

Cons:

  • Availability in India and online is the only con I can think of! Essence products are not available in India or online.

Rating:

4.5/5.

Its one of the best compact powders ever and I truly recommend you to get your hands on this if you ever find it!
