I used to buy a lot of lipsticks earlier and had to trash them because poor quality. Drugstore lipsticks eventually start to feel substandard and cheap. So now, I have become judicious with my makeup shopping and invest only in good quality makeup which would last me a while and will also not harm my skin. Recently, I had done a mini Estee Lauder haul and bought three lipstick shade as part of that haul, here I review one of those three lipstick shades.

My Experience with Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick Irresistible 440:
The product comes in an elegant packaging, with a royal blue cap and a gold, metal, twist-up case to hold the product. The cap has the brand name and again, it all adds to the elegance of the lipstick.
The color of the lipstick is a warm brown shade, not too dark, it’s rather subtle and looks very natural. It does not look pale on face if applied as is and also goes well with dark, smoky eye look. Even on a fair skin tone person, this shade can be applied as is or can be paired with other makeup looks as well – depending on personal preference.
The product has a cream finish. Although, I personally prefer matte finish, but in this case, I can make an exception because the finish of this product is extremely pretty and does not look garish or stand out on my face in an unappealing manner.
The lasting power is obviously like the usual cream finish lipsticks. It lasts for only a few hours and wipes off completely without a trace after a meal. It does not stain lips or feather or get flaky – the usual issues that we face with lipsticks. The product is well made and does feel like a high-end product. However, $32 might be a bit too steep for some and there are cheaper and equally good alternatives as well – in the range of $15-$20. These lipsticks are not as expensive but perform just as well.
Pros of Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick Irresistible 440:
- The packaging is very sturdy and elegant, it does feel like a high-end product.
- Comes in a good-sized tube.
- It has a very subtle fragrance which vanishes soon after.
- “Irresistible” is a n*de brown lipstick which pairs well with dark eye makeup.
- The product has a very pretty cream finish and does not look garish.
- There are 50 shades to choose from and have different finishes as well.
Cons of Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick Irresistible 440:
- Availability can be an issue for some but I guess they do ship worldwide.
- It can be a little too expensive for some.
Verdict:
It is a beautiful lipstick shade which will look pretty on almost all skin tones. It has a cream finish which adds just the right amount of shine to the lips and adds elegance to the face. It can be worn alone or can be paired with a dramatic eye look. It can be a little too expensive for some and that can be a con for some of us.
