I am very picky about my face wash. I have acne-prone, combination skin hence, I use a soap-free cleanser usually. Recently, I tried one from the DermoPURIFYER range of Eucerin. Today’s review is about Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Cleanser.

Containing 6% Ampho-tensides, it eliminates excess sebum (serbboreah) while removing dirt and make-up. Its anti-bacterial properties rid skin of bacteria and inhibit bacterial reproduction and, as it is non-comedogenic, it won’t clog pores.

This is my first purchase from the brand Eucerin. Eucerin is a dermatologist recommended skincare brand from Germany. It is easily available at pharmacies here in the UAE. I had read good reviews of the Eucerin products and thought of giving their face wash a try. The Eucerin DemoPURIFYER face cleanser is non-comedogenic and claims very good skin tolerability on blemish-prone skin. Hence, I picked it up to help my acne-prone skin.

It was available in 2 sizes – 200 ml and 400 ml. The bigger one turns out to be more economical. The bottle is very basic and boring. Most of their products come in white packaging. The body of the cleanser is of white plastic. The cap has a bright green colored flip opening which is very convenient and hygienic to use. Overall, the bottle seems sturdy and cap closes tight, however, since the 400 ml bottle is huge, it’s not your perfect travel companion.

The cleanser liquid is neither too thick nor too runny. It has a transparent gel-like texture. It feels very light on the skin and spreads easily all over the face. On application, it lathers well with wet fingers. There is a mild medicated fragrance which is a put off for me actually. Around one pump is sufficient for one use.

Since the texture is gel-like, it does get washed off quick and easy. After use, the skin feels clean, refreshed and soft. Though I did not notice the effect of the skin feeling moisturized all day, however, it did not give me dry patches on the face as I feel with other face washes.

On regular use, it clearly helps avoid acne and cleans the facial pores. This face wash is best suited for those who have sensitive or acne-prone skin. I would totally recommend this face wash. It is recommended for face, neck back and chest area as well since some people have a lot of acne/boils on those parts as well.
