Faces 015 Carnation Glam On Color Perfect Lipstick Review

I am back after a small break on IMBB. Been so caught up with my new home and job that didn’t get much time to shop. But, I was regularly reading all the posts on IMBB; could not stay away from it! It is like an addiction for me now. Daily dose toh chahiye boss. Recently, when I was out to watch San Andreas at a mall, I came across Faces shop. I have a lipstick from this brand which I had bought a long time back, and had a bad experience with, so I was sceptical about getting another one from the brand. But, this time one of their ranges called Glam On Color Perfect Lipsticks caught my attention. So, I bought two shades – Citrus Blast and this one. Let’s jump in then.

My Experience with Faces 015 Carnation Glam On Color Perfect Lipstick:

The Lipstick comes in a black cardboard box detailing the claims and ingredients. The lipstick itself looks very classy wherein the bullet is housed in a black and transparent body. The cap is transparent and is helpful in identifying the color of the lipstick. The cap closes on tightly hence making it extremely travel friendly. The name and number of the shade are mentioned at the bottom of the lipstick.

Carnation is a very pretty daily wear coral pink with orange undertones. It is very subtle and can be worn with almost any outfit and for any occasion. There are no shimmers or excessive shine, but it does not settle into a complete matte one either. The texture of Carnation is very smooth and creamy. It glides like butter on the lips. Due to its creamy formula, it gives a moisturizing effect. Looks a bit glossy when applied. Also, I prefer exfoliated lips as creamy lipsticks like these might crumble a bit on flaky lips. I basically have very dry lips and so I am habituated to use lip balms underneath. But, with Carnation’s texture, one can skip lip balms too.

Pigmentation is awesome and one swipe is enough to get the desired color. One can layer it and achieve a darker shade, but I personally like the color it gives with a single swipe. It lightens up the face immediately. Layering does not feel heavy at all. Carnation is very light on lips. The staying power is around 5-6 hours for me with little or no munching. But, it will require touch ups after a full meal. Also, it does transfer a little onto the cutlery. But, while fading away it does leave a soft tint behind. Also, it does not fade away in patches.

It does not seem to be waterproof completely but a makeup remover is required to remove the stains. This one is my second lipstick from Faces and with all the shades reviewed here, I think I am going to try others shades as well. I loved it.

Yes, definitely. It is a daily wear subtle color that will suit Indian skin tones.
