Faces Canada Go Chic Lipstick – Prairie Pink Review

Hello gals,

All of us are in search of perfect lipstick shades as different shades complement different complexions.  Now since I have started wearing lipsticks, especially bright ones; whenever I see a pretty shade, I cannot help myself from buying it. Today, I am going to talk about a lipstick from Faces.  I recently hauled a few lipsticks and other things from Faces and this lipstick is one of them.

Product Description:

Super stay, easy to apply lipstick gives uniform coverage. Repair your lips against climatic changes. Get ready for rich, long lasting color in just one swipe.

Rs. 249 for 4.5 gm.

My Experience with Faces Canada Go Chic Lipstick – Prairie Pink:

The lipstick comes in a simple black glossy packaging, it is travel friendly and sturdy.  For the price, the packaging is good.  Also, Faces has hiked the price from Rs. 200 to Rs. 249.  The color Prairie Pink is a beautiful coral pink, somewhere between pink and coral. It will best suit fair to medium skin tones, might wash out darker skin tones. It is not completely matte, one would not be able to tell from the swatch, and I realized that after I came home and applied the lipstick.  It has a slight pearly finish; it is not at all shimmery and has more of a satin finish. I like this different finish on lips as it gives a good sheen. It is not my favorite shade as at the store, it looked more orange, but on lips, it leans slightly more towards pink, just like the name.

The texture is smooth and glides easily on my dry lips even without a lip balm underneath. It is not buttery soft and creamy and is slightly different from the old “Go Chic” lipstick as those were more creamy, but nevertheless, I quite like these as creamy lipsticks just don’t last on my lips and tend to feather a lot. It does not dry out the lips even after wearing it for long.

The pigmentation of this lipstick is buildable. You need 2-3 swipes for a full opaque coverage.  If you have slightly pigmented lips, then it will cover it, but for dark pigmented lips, it is not the best option as its slightly sheer. It has a really mild fragrance which does not even bother.

It does not settle much into the lines on lips, and does not bleed or feather, so I am really happy. It stays well for 4 hours without any meals and with meals in between, it fades slightly, but you can always carry it around for touch ups. It fades quite evenly, and leaves behind a nice stain which I quite like. It does transfer slightly, but nothing much.  Overall, it is a very pretty and feminine shade.

Pros of Faces Canada Go Chic Lipstick – Prairie Pink:

  • Sturdy and simple packaging.
  • Smooth texture, glides easily.
  • Not at all drying.
  • Lasts for 4 hours.
  • Very affordable.
  • Wide color range.
  • Does not bleed or feather much.
  • Leaves a subtle tint after fading.

Cons of Faces Canada Go Chic Lipstick – Prairie Pink:

  • Not very creamy and moisturizing.
  • This shade is sheer, and will not completely cover pigmented lips.
  • Slight pearly finish which some may not like.
  • This shade will not suit darker skin tones.
  • Transfers.

Do I Recommend Faces Canada Go Chic Lipstick – Prairie Pink?

If you have light to medium complexion and do not mind the pearly finish and sheer coverage, then do check it out, it is indeed a pretty and wearable shade.
