Garnier Fructis Style Anti-Humidity Volumizing Hairspray
Hey IMBB-ians, how was Valentine’s day??? we celebrated in bits and pieces over the entire week because on V-day eve, it stormed so heavily here that we couldn’t go out or order in and ended up eating khichdi and raita. LOL
These days nature seems to have lost its seasonal boundary as it rains one day, is cold the next and all heated up the next. So obviously my skin and hair are in a bizarre condition these days. And so… I found out that anything that I can spritz on me is giving me some relief!
Hence my go-to s these days are thermal water spritzer and this hairspray!
Garnier says : All-Day Humidity Resistance with natural Bamboo Extract
Provides Bounce-Back Hold
Introducing our first ever hairspray with bamboo extract and anti-humidity protection for long-lasting hold and natural, healthy-looking movement.
Why Bamboo?
Selected for its strength, suppleness and resilience, bamboo bends but never breaks. This formula keeps you in control of your style with frizz control and bounce-back hold that lasts all day.
Cost : $4.50 and available in all drugstores.
My experience:
Although I’ve heard a ton about them, this is the 1st time I’m using a hairspray. I don’t usually do hair-dos and mostly I pin my hair, use clips or ponytails. Since I have frizzy hair a barber (hair dresser????) reco-ed that however I tie my hair, I should use a hairspray to tame it down. The best way to use this is to hold farthest from your head and spritz it. This way, it can spray evenly and less. This has a faint citrus-y fragrance which is quite pleasing. I mostly straighten my hair and then use this. It holds the hair nicely and the best part is- does not make my hair look crispy crinkly! Although, it does not last all day and specially in humid weather, it will last you 3-4hrs before your hair loses it’s hold.
Summing it up:
YAYS:
- Very affordable.
- Smells good.
- Minimizes frizz.
- Holds the hair for an average amount of time.
- does not make my hair crispy.
- Garnier puts out very good ads to lure.
NAYS:
– Loses its hold really soon (compared to Loreal Elnett)
– You can easily go overboard with the spraying and then the hair gets cheeky wet.
– Not an HG product. there are many other hairsprays with better performance.
Verdict : It is an okayish type of product. not a must have but if you want to make your hair look tame, a hairspray is definitely recommended. It just gives a more polished look!
