Garnier Men Power Light( Intensive Fairness Moisturizer) Review
I remember whenever I saw my Dad’s feet dry in winters, I would ask him to apply cold cream & he would just say “ Nahi Beta Nariyal tel laga loonga ( Translation: I’ll apply coconut oil). I don’t like applying coconut oil on the skin but my dad said that coconut oil is a good moisturizer for dry skin My dad was somebody who was very organised, dressed up well & always put mild Attar (Attar or Itr is a natural perfume extracted from the juices of flowers, herbs, spices, and/or barks into a base oil such as Sandalwood oil), not those heavy attars that cause headaches!. Applying Attar or Itr is one of the many traditional Muslim customs .I don’t like men with dry ashy skin, cracked heels or unkempt hair, body odour etc. Fortunately I’m blessed to have somebody in life (my Fiancé) who believes in hygiene & takes care of his skin & I don’t have to bother about it. My Fiance’s family are all Lakme Loyalists & use Lakme products for skin care. I introduced him to the Garnier Range because I use Garnier Body Cocoon (Love this!), he decided to try the Garnier Range for men. So this article is all about his experience with Garnier Men Power Light, the one endorsed by John Abraham! 😉
What does Garnier claim about this product: Everyday your skin is attacked by daily aggressions, exposure to sun and pollution that can cause intensive darkening and dark spots.
Garnier Men creates Power Light: The 1st moisturizer for men with a fairness performance so intense that you can now measure it.
Intensive visible fairness performance from the 1st application: Enriched with brightening lemon extract that helps remove dark dead cells, it reveals visibly fairer and smoother skin immediately.
Measurable fairness day after day: Enriched with anti-pigmenting Long Dan which prevents production of skin-darkening melanin, it delivers a fairness result you can measure while intensively reducing dark spots.
SPF15 sun protection to prevent skin from dark spots and further darkening. Now get fairness performance you can measure.
Ingredients: Only two ingredients mentioned, Lemon Extract & Anti-pigmenting Long Dan.
Long Dan is a Chinese herbal extract known for its powerful anti-pigmenting properties. It acts to prevent melanin production, a major cause of skin darkening.
Directions to Use: Apply twice daily on the whole face, on perfectly cleansed skin. Avoid eye area.
Price: I guess Rs 150(INR) for 50g (Not sure of the price because the carton was thrown away & the tube doesn’t have the price mentioned on it)
Shell Life: Best use before 30 months from the date of Pkd.Date
Fiancé’s Experience with Garnier Men Power Light: Fiance says this is light moisturiser that gives him fresh feeling for atleast 3-4 hours. According to him this moisturizer is a mild fragranced which can be used even after shave instead of using those heavily scented after shave lotions. (He says using those strong scented after shave results in white hair). This is a good moisturizer for his combination skin because this doesn’t make his skin completely oily instead gives a bit shine on his face.
He applies Garnier Men Power Light every morning before going to work because he believes that this acts as a barrier when working long hours in front of the laptop, protecting him from the UV rays, because of the SPF 15 protection. He has seen very slight improvement in his complexion (In fact he is not somebody who has a problem with his medium complexion). He says this is an all season moisturizer because during summers this acts like a sunscreen & during winters it moisturizes the skin. When I explained him about SPF, he says Garnier should have included higher SPF because he commutes to office by bike & is exposed to sun &pollution. He doesn’t have any problem with the ingredients not mentioned 😐
Will he recommend Garnier Men Power Light? Yes he wants to recommend this to every guy just because it acts as a moisturiser anytime! 😉

Does it lighten skin tone? Cause all I can remember is that awful “performance jo measure kar sake” advertisement 😛
And congratulations Uzma :))
When are you getting married?
Awful performance :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Thanks Devie! I haven’t noticed any change in skin tone! Yeah this doesn’t give any significant change in the complexion that can be measured! ?:-)
Uzma I am not surprised that your fiance was not bothered about ingredients list not mentioned. :giggle: :giggle: :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:
 I made him read your comment & even then he didn’t bother to check! Are Men are always like this? 😕
For men if it works, it works. Why bother what’s going in the product. :razzmad: :razzmad: :razzmad: :razzmad: :razzmad:
My fiance started using the Garnier mens Face wash and fell in love with it… Me happy he is using face wash now!!!   😀 😀 😀

Will suggest this to my hubby Uzma. Thanks for the review 🙂
Thanks Aarthi! How are you doing? :-))
You know, it might not have any properties for lightening skin and be just a great moisturizer for men’s skin, but it still advertises it self as skin lightening because no one will buy a ‘moisturizer for men’
Atleast its good for something 🙂
can anyone wrote useful comment all r gather here to discuss nonsense
