We all want our skin to look clear. While you can conceal most of the imperfections with makeup, it is not similar to having clear skin. I had purchased Garnier Pure Active Intensive Exfo-Brusher and it slowly faded my marks and thus I wanted to try all the products from the Pure Active range. So today, I am here with the review of Garnier Skin Naturals Pure Anti-Blackhead Deep Pore Wash.

Enriched with Purifying Zinc and Salicylic Acid, its formula helps to control excess surface sebum and helps protect against the appearance of blemishes, blackheads and imperfections.
How To Use:
Moisten your face and apply by gently massaging with fingertips, concentrating on the forehead, nose and chin. Rinse thoroughly.

My Experience with Garnier Pure Active Anti-Blackhead Deep Pore Wash:
One of the reasons why I bought this face wash was the fact that I started getting blackheads that turn into ugly pimples and leave marks and I wanted to get the issue sorted out before it marked its territory on my face! 😛 The packaging is similar to Garnier Pure Active Gentle Deep Clean Cream Wash with a turquoise tube and has a flip cap and there is no leakage, making it travel friendly. The product has a pleasant and fresh fragrance. The face wash is clear and has tiny blue micro-beads in it and the consistency is gel like and also a little runny. Overall, the packaging is satisfactory.
The beads gently exfoliate the face and are not harsh. The face wash results in a bright, fresh, glowing face, so it is clear that it cleanses the pores effectively. The effect also remains for long and doesn’t go away quickly like other face washes. But this face wash dries out the skin, I have combination skin and I could see patches of dryness on my face after applying makeup and it is not a nice sight. It’s also worth mentioning that the product is not for sensitive skin. I develop sensitivity at times and there are occasions when my face turns red after using this product. It contains Zinc and Salicylic acid and thus there were no breakouts when I was using it.
Coming to the reason why I bought it, for blackheads. I had a blackhead on my face and even after a week of this face wash, the blackhead was still there. It went away naturally, the main reason I had picked up this face wash was to act on blackhead, and it proved to be a bummer! However, the blackhead didn’t leave a mark. I also noticed that I had another one whilst still using this face wash and so it doesn’t help in preventing the occurrence of blackheads. However, if you are looking for a good product for effectively removing oiliness and for a deep cleanse, this product is for you, but it’s a strict no-no for those with dry skin.

- Doesn’t treat blackheads.
- Not suitable for sensitive skin.
- Not suitable for dry skin.
- Dries out the skin, hence you need to follow up with a good moisturizer.
Would I Recommend/Repurchase Garnier Pure Active Anti-Blackhead Deep Pore Wash?
Only if you have a lot of sebum secretion on your face.
