  1. Its imp to understand ur hair and scalp type….sticky dandruff or flaky ones!!!!!!!!!! I have been suffering with the same for the last 3 yrs…..i find Onion juice helpful and i have also shared a DIY here….

  2. i was also having the same problem..i will tell you what i did to keep dandruff under control..I used trichup antidandruff oil every two days ,wrapped a hot towel and kept it for an hour and washed with khadi neem shampoo. Also i started an internal cleansing routine…Drinking a glass of aloevera juice on empty stomach and regular exercise for an hour..also ensure you get 6 hours sleep minimum.Dandruff is generally due to stress, lack of sleep, tension, acidity etc..but then if in two three weeks not seeing any visible changes, its better to consult a trichologist as dandruff may be signs of some other internal problems.

  3. 1. Take half a bowl of Multiani Mitti (fuller’s earth)
    2. Add 2 big table spoon of curd
    3. Add 1 lemon
    4. Add 1 big spoon shikakai powder (Acacia concinna)
    5. Mix them all together and apply evenly on hair roots and length
    6. Rinse throughly after 1 hour (you may shampoo too after this, if you feel like)

  4. If you have dandruff …. need to have good cleansing regime…. try Head and Shoulder anti dandruff range its gud… the idea is to shampoo in such a way that it washes away all the oil from scalp and hair … they should breath and the build up should be cleared.

Post wash let your hair dry naturally… see that now is your scalp clean ? hair could be dry its ok this can be managed … but no oil trail should be left…. also always keep your comb clean and washed …

Since oil is not there in hair… and u find flakes are there on the scalp , that needs some massaging to remove that.. massage your scalp well to unclog pores… use olive oil or ramdev coconut oil or bajaj almond oil . Rub the oil into your scalp and slightly massage it enough to move the flakes , they should not be sticking. wrap your hair in a hot towel and leave it on for about a half hour. Then rinse the oil out with lukewarm water and shampoo.

This oil massage and hair wash will remove dryness and flakes hopefully … now apply a good conditioner maybe TBS or gud product…in case u find its greasy for your hair use loreal lissultimate hair serum , avoid applying on scalp roots …use it on wet hair strands.

Try to follow this regime every 2-3 day to keep scalp clean .

Avoid heat styling stuff, when gng out use a hat or scarf to protect it from wind , sun , pollutants.. good luck!

  5. Soak overnight a handful of Amla, 4-5 pieces Shikakai and 2 Reethas (all dry solids) in a large bowl of water.
In the morning mash the solids in the water and boil the concoction for around 10 mins. When it cools down, seive it and use it to rinse your hair, just the way u would use a shampoo. It doesnt lather but will leave your hair squeaky clean.
No need of using any shampoo. You may follow up with a mild conditioner though.
It will improve your hair texture, remove dandruff and drastically reduce hairfall.
Do this on a regular basis for around a 3 weeks and after that follow up twice a week !

I have done this for the last two months and it has done wonders to my hair. * sachchi *

It sounds a lil difficult to carry out everyday but the results are totally worth it !

      1. Neha , I havn’t tried storing it but i have read on quite a few sites that u can store this in the fridge for around 4-5 days and i lasts well.

  6. My battle against Dandruff has won by avoiding oiling on scalp, washing hair frequently & using lemon/diluted vinegar/methi seeds paste occasionally…!!

Btw…I have sent one query..Is it in the Queue ?

    1. I do exactly the same now. Have had majorrrrrr dandruff problem here. So now once I week I apply vinegar with lemon and put it in hair only for 30-40 mins and wash off.

It keeps dandruff away for a week atleast.

    1. Castor oil is good for hair, when i used it i had a thick hair then, the only reason i stopped using it is i have migraine so i got headache since castor oil has high viscosity…

But if you have dandruff at present, cure it at first then start with castor oil 🙂

  7. i would say never give up in castor oil.it is really good. also i have started taking kalonji oil (black onion seed) 1/2 tbspn with honey daily and i must say my hairfall has stopped considerably. u can google to find out more abt black onion seed. Also drinking it is good for overall health. 🙂

  8. can someone plz suggest a shampoo also for hairfall as most of them are highly chemical based …i am also suffering for heavy hairfall these days and i have oily hair

  9. try using Selsun. It has sulphur in it which has anti-fungal properties which is the main cause of flaky dandruff. I use it in after washing my hair with regular shampoo then using selsun just on scalp followed by regular shampoo and conditioner. Whenever i have dandruff problem i do it twice in a week and the problem is solved. Since this is very harsh chemical i do not use it regularly. You can find it at any chemist

  10. I use to apply a drop of castor oil on my face for 4 hrs. From a week.any one amngst u hv usd ths?if yes,thn tel me benefits

  11. i just bought sebamed’s anti dandruff shampoo and it takes care of my oily scalp and dry hair issue.. i use some homemade curry leaf oil (just boil a paste of curry leaves in coconut oil in 1:2 proportion) i use fenugreek paste on my scalp and hair and i find iit helps with dandruff and gives me silky hair too.

castor oil helps improve hair growth. so do use it , however always warm it up before applying as it is very viscous. warm oil is thinner and spreads easily. and make sure you wash if off properly.
