Today’s review is about the Inglot HD Lip Tint Matte in the shade number 36. This was actually a gift but I thought I should review it since I noticed it hadn’t been reviewed on IMBB before.
HD Lip Tint Matte is a trendy lip product that will provide full coverage and a silky matte finish. The product ensures a long lasting effect, does not smudge and is transfer resistant. A handy little sponge makes the lip tint easy to apply, while intense colours will compliment any makeup or skin tone.
All INGLOT’s HD products contain HD pigments. Ideal for everyday use, these products may also be used for filming in high definition, ensuring the makeup looks flawless even on a big screen.
My Experience with Inglot HD Lip Tint Matte 36:
Inglot doesn’t really name its shades, which kinda irks me since I love lip colours that have their own name. No biggie! Anyway, the shade number I got is 36 and it’s a peachy pink. When I saw it in the tube I thought it would be too light for my skin tone since lighter nude tones just don’t suit my tan NC42 skin.
I went ahead and gave it a go anyway. The formula is pigmented when I swatch it on my hand but it doesn’t go opaque on the lips. It goes on to the lips smoothly but I would recommend a lip balm underneath as the formula dries fast and can be quite drying on the lips. While applying on my lips the formula didn’t look patchy but it wasn’t even either. I thought it might settle but it was really patchy even after drying. In fact, it was much more patchy than before. I hated how it looked.
The shade didn’t wash me out or anything but it definitely didn’t do anything for my skin tone either. It looked like I had used some cheap non-descript liquid lipstick. The colour didn’t flatter me particularly and the formula didn’t sit too well on my lips either.
The staying power was not good either, it stayed for like three hours after which it started flaking and really dried my lips out. It looked even patchier than before and it had started accumulating in a weird way on the inside of my lips.
Post a meal it came off a little. The fading was so uneven that I went to the washroom and scrubbed the product off my lips immediately. That’s how bad it looked at the time. It flaked so badly on my lips! In spite of being a liquid lipstick it shouldn’t have been that drying; I had even used a lip balm and still.
Pros of Inglot HD Lip Tint Matte 36:
A nice nude for fair skin tones
Cons of Inglot HD Lip Tint Matte 36:
Super drying formula
Flakes a lot
IMBB Rating: 2/5
I used it once and I honestly don’t touch this product anymore. I like the colour and it could work with a darker lip liner for me but I am so uncomfortable with the formula that I’m not likely to purchase any Inglot liquid lipstick again.
