I have been eyeing Kiko shadows since long, but as you know availability is always an issue in India and that too Ahmedabad has no good makeup stores as such, I had to wait for really long to get my hands on these. I bought two of them – 201 and 203. I’ll be reviewing 201 today. This is called “Rosy Taupe” on the on Kiko site. Let us get into the review straight.

My Experience with Kiko Milano Water Eyeshadow 201:
The shadow comes in a beautiful black box, not small not big either but just the right size. It’s a card board box and inside there’s a thick, plastic pan which contains the shadow. thick plastic box which has the shadow. It’s square in shape unlike what most other brands go far. It’s a delightful sight when the box opens. I have seen many eyeshadows but Kiko gives a different shape to the shadows which stands out from others. In very raw terms, it is like a swirl or someone has just pressed a thumb when the shadow was setting.
Like the description says, it’s a rosy taupe shade. It is very very subtly rose with taupe (muted) tinge to it. A perfect for brow bone highlight. Inner corners if you don’t them to pop and also for face highlight to give a muted sheen to your face. My only concern here is that it’s a single pan, we tend to pick single pans quite less.
I was also happy to see the powder protected with a thick plastic sheet which you most definitely will not be tempted to toss away. The box has a small mirror as well which is always a value add when travelling.
The texture is very very finely milled and smooth to work with. This has minimal fallout whatsoever and has no bothersome at all. It is not at all powdery nor too buttery either. This isn’t a shade which pops. It has fine shimmer but they look beautiful. If you are not a shimmer lover, please skip this one.

It’s a beautiful shade and an affordable brand (I still prefer palettes though).
