I have fallen in love with 6-color palettes from Kiko Milano. When I picked up the lipstick palettes, I saw these beautiful shades and even though I have BH Cosmetics Edition Palette, this travel-friendly package made me pick this one up. Today’s review is all about Kiko Milano 01 Earth Song Eyeshadow Palette. Read on to know more!

My Experience with Kiko Milano Eyeshadow Palette 01 Earth Song:

The 6-color palette comes in a black case with a transparent lid. The cap closes with a click and there are no chances of any accidents when I keep it in a bag. The product doesn’t house a brush and a mirror and I wish they included this as it would be easier on the go. Addition of this would have made the product really travel-friendly. You can clearly see the colors through the transparent lid. I feel the packaging could have been a little better for the price it retails at! The shelf life of the palette is 12 months.

There are 6 colors in the palette. The product contains pearly, matte and satin finish. There are 3 variants available in this range and I picked up this variant only for the white and the brick red shades. The product does not have any fragrance. The texture is creamy to powdery. They are very soft and look velvety. It can be easily picked up by a brush/sponge applicator or by your fingers. The Earth Song houses colors that are suitable for everyday wear; the shades are not gaudy and make it a perfect neutral shade palette. I love the selection of the colors. They are the shades of brown and compliment olive skin tones beautifully. The first 3 are shimmery and last 3 are matte and satin. The colors are well pigmented. The shades are as follows:

Shade 1: This shade is a pearly white with golden shimmery glitters in it. The presence of these golden glitters makes it shine like a diamond especially in the sun. This is a perfect choice to use in the inner corner of your eye.
Shade 2: This is a pinkish shimmery shade. I haven’t used it yet as it looks a bit white on my eyes. I will probably use it on my inner corners.
Shade 3: This is a shimmery rose gold shade which almost looks like gold. This one is also my favorite and I also use it to highlight my cheekbones!
Shade 4: This is a transition brown shade. It almost matches my skin tone and even though the color does not pop out, I use it as a transition and a base shade.
Shade 5: This is a brick red shade. I absolutely love this shade. I also use it on my lips and I am obsessed with the color. This one is a matte shade.
Shade 6: This is a dark brown matte shade. It is great when you create Smokey eyes!

Due to the powdery texture, there is fallout. You can see this more when you use your brush. When I use my fingers, the fallout is less and it feels creamy on application. The longevity is pretty impressive. With a primer, the color lasted for around 10 hours and without a primer, the color stays on my lids for around 6-7 hours. If you have oily lids, there is a tendency that it will fade away sooner. You can easily build up the color for intensity. The colors do not cause any irritation. The colors also compliment each other well and can also be combined with other shades to create a new one. If you use a little eye drop or oil, you can easily use it to draw lines and create a creamy eyeshadow. Overall, I love this palette. I have no negatives to write about this one except that it contains carmine as a color additive and there is no mirror or brush!
