Skin Tone: Medium fair, warm undertones
I picked up quite a few lip glosses from KleanColor a while ago, but forgot to review them as they didn’t turn out that good. In this post, I am going to share my views on KleanColor Madly Matte Lip Gloss in the shade “1611 Wineberry.” Read on further for more details on this lip gloss.
Each of the 48 gorgeous shades of Madly Matte Lip Gloss provides rich color in a matte finish for all day wear without drying. It goes on as a highly pigmented liquid and dries to a smooth matte finish. Lips are colored in velvety perfection that lasts. So grab one… or 48 and go! You’re off to a smooth start with Madly Matte Lip Gloss from Kleancolor.
My Experience with Kleancolor Madly Matte Lip Gloss 1611 Wineberry:
The liquid lipstick comes packaged in a long, transparent, cylindrical plastic tube. The see-through tube helps to easily spot the shade. There is a small white sticker at the base, which bears the shade number, but the shade name is not mentioned anywhere on the packaging. There is a small doe-foot applicator attached with the cap. This applicator is soft but it picks up very little amount of the product, so I have to dip inside the tube again and again. So, overall the packaging is very ordinary.
This shade is called “Wineberry,” and it is a deep berry color. The color looks pretty but the lipstick looks too flat once it sets. The color would look flattering on most Indian skin tones. The color is pretty for bold makeup looks, but the most confusing thing about this range is its tagline.
The brand calls it a lip gloss but it is actually a matte finish liquid lipstick. The formula is decently pigmented and good enough to cover pigmented lips in just two swipes. The color looks even on the lips and does not look patchy. The lipstick does not contain any shimmer or glitter.
The texture of the lip gloss is smooth. It glides effortlessly without any drag on the lips. It is not really lightweight and I can feel its presence on the lips. It takes 1-2 minutes to dry out completely, but still leaves a sticky feel behind. The stickiness stays all the time and it feels so uncomfortable while pursing the lips together. This makes this lipstick so uncomfortable to wear. It dries out the lips and also cracks a little. It is not at all moisturizing. So, overall, the formulation is poor.
The longevity is somewhere around 5-6 hours on my lips, which is pretty decent, but the formulation is a huge disappointment. Removing this lipstick is such a pain. It does not come off with regular wipes. A waterproof makeup remover is required to get rid of every stain of this lipstick.
