My Experience with Kleancolor Madly Matte Lipstick- 14 Orchard:
I had never tried any makeup product from this brand earlier. I hauled so many lipsticks from this brand some month’s back and these were lying unused in my vanity. Recently, I took out these lipsticks and started using a few of these. So, here comes the review for you all.
The packaging of the lipstick is fine. It comes in glossy black colored squarely shaped plastic tube with a color-coded ring, that helps to spot the shade easily. The cap is also black in color, it fits very securely and never come off while carrying around. Once you remove the cap, you will see that the inner twist up tube is exactly the same color of the lipstick and has a matte finish. This looks a little different. The base of the lipstick tube bears a sticker indicating the shade name and shade no. Overall, the packaging is fine and good for travel purposes.
The shade “Orchard” is the beautiful pink lipstick with some mauvish hints. This is a subtle pink, that is not too bright and can be carried very easily. I quite like this shade. There are no glitters or shimmers in this lipstick and it sets to lovely matte finish. The lipstick is good in terms of pigmentation. It delivers perfect opaque finish, in just two swipes. It perfectly hides pigmentation and looks even on the lips.
The texture of the lipstick is actually better that I expected. It is smooth and slightly creamy in texture. It glides effortlessly on the lips, without any dragging of the lips. The formula of the lipstick is lightweight and non-drying in nature. It feels very comfortable on the lips, even after layering. It does not feel thick or waxy on the lips. Being a matte lipstick, it clings to the dry patches of the lips. Hence, it is mandatory to exfoliate and moisturize the lips well. The color looks smooth and even. It never gets patchy or dry on the lips.
The lipstick has tendency to transfer a little. The color settles into the fine lines of the lips after a full meal, and the lipstick gets ripped off. The formula of this lipstick is kind of moisturizing. It does not dry out the lips. It does not bleed or smudge at all. The lipstick has a strong candy like fragrance, that I really enjoy but it might be bothering for some. The smell lasts only for a minute or two and fades away gradually.
The staying power of the lipstick is quite disappointing for me. It hardly stays for some 3.5-4 hours on my lips. It does not survive meals and the color gets ripped off completely, leaving very sheer pinkish hints on the lips. The lipstick does not stain the lips and it is very easy to remove.
