My Experience with Kleancolor Madly Matte Lipstick- 18 Wild Orchid:
The lipstick comes in glossy black colored squarely shaped plastic tube, with a color-coded ring, that helps to spot the shade easily. The cap is also black in color; it fits very securely and never come off while carrying around. Once you remove the cap, you will see that the inner twist up tube is exactly the same color of the lipstick and has a matte finish. This looks a little different. The base of the lipstick tube bears a sticker indicating the shade name and shade no. Overall, the packaging is fine and good for travel purposes.
The shade “Wild Orchid” is a very bright purple lipstick, as its name suggests. The shade is extremely bright and not for daily use. I love to pair such a bright purple lipstick with Smokey eyes and it goes so well with that look. I quite like this shade, as I do not have many shades like this.
You must know, that I love to include variety of shades to my collection. There are no glitters or shimmers in this lipstick and it sets to lovely matte finish or I would say these are creamy matte in nature. The lipstick is amazing in terms of pigmentation. It delivers perfect opaque finish, in just two swipes. It perfectly hides pigmentation and looks even on the lips. The color looks so intense on the lips and I feel this is a gorgeous shade for a bright and bold party looks.
The texture of the lipstick is lovely. It is smooth and slightly creamy in texture. Hence, it glides effortlessly on the lips, without causing any tugging or pulling. The formula of the lipstick is lightweight and non-drying in nature. It feels very comfortable on the lips, even after layering.
It does not feel thick or waxy on the lips. Being a matte lipstick, it clings to the dry patches of the lips. Hence, prepping the lips well is mandatory. The color looks smooth and even. It never gets patchy or dry on the lips. The lipstick has tendency to transfer due to its creaminess. The color settles into the fine lines of the lips after a full meal. The formula of this lipstick is kind of moisturizing.
It never dries out my lips. It smudges a little after having a full meal. The lipstick has a strong candy like fragrance, that I really enjoy but it might be bothering for some. The smell lasts only for a minute or two and fades away gradually. I have one complaint with these lipsticks, that the bullet tends to detach from the base, may be due its creaminess and sticks to its cap. This results in damaging the bullet of the lipstick.
The staying power of the lipstick is average. It stays for some 4-5 hours on my lips, with a little fading. It survives little snacking and fades away completely, leaving pinkish stain behind. The stain is a little difficult to remove and can be taken off using a good makeup remover.
