My Experience with L. A. Colors Matte Lipstick Enchanting:
The lipstick comes in a basic black-colored plastic tube with a clear plastic cap. The side of the tube has the shade name written on it. The tube is color coded and the transparent cap helps to easily spot the shade from makeup stash. The cap does not shut very tightly and may come off while carrying around, so I have to be extra careful while carrying this lipstick to avoid any mess. The shape of the actual lipstick is regular and helps in achieving precise application without much effort. Overall, the packaging is not very useful. The cap does not shut tightly and the part of the lipstick bullet remains out, so I have to be a little careful while opening or closing.
“Enchanting” is a beautiful, bright fuchsia color and would suit most Indian skin tones. This shade goes well with my skin tone and instantly brightens up my face. Summers are approaching and the shade is very flattering for summers. The color is subtle and this makes it a lovely, everyday shade to wear. The lipstick sets to a soft, matte finish. It is decently pigmented and requires at least two swipes to build up the color on the lips, one swipe gives semi-opaque coverage. Two-three swipes are good enough to build up full opaque coverage and helps in covering pigmentation of the lips. This looks even and smooth all over the lips.
The texture of this shade is smooth, but slightly drying. It causes a little tug and drag. It does highlight dry patches of the lips, so it is important to exfoliate and moisturize the lips well for smoother and healthier-looking lips. I would highly recommend prepping the lips before application. The formula is comfortable but these are not extremely lightweight on the lips. I can feel the presence of the lipstick on my lips.
The lipstick is smudge-proof upto some extent even after meals and does not budge even after heavy meals. The formula is not heavily transferring but it does transfer a little on the mugs and the goblets. It survives normal sipping and light snacks easily but it fades away after a heavy meal. The lipstick is not really moisturizing and feels dry on the lips after some time. So, I need to apply a lip balm.
The lipstick lasts for good 5-6 hours on my lips with a little fading. It can be easily take off with a good makeup remover and does not stain the lips.
