Recently, L.A Colors has launched their collections in India and I bought a couple of lipsticks from their matte range. Today, I am reviewing the L.A Colors Matte Lipstick in the shade ‘Tender’. Read on to know more about the shade.

My Experience with L.A. Colors Tender Matte Lipstick:
Packaging:
The lipstick comes in a long black and pink tube with a clear cap. I always love color coded tubes as they are easy to find. The packaging looks nice but the bullet doesn’t go inside properly, so it might get damaged. Hence, I always have to close the cap carefully. Otherwise, it is safe to carry around. According to the quality, it is an affordable matte lipstick.
Shade:
This matte lipstick range offers 16 beautiful shades and I picked up a couple of them. This ‘Tender’ is a beautiful dusty pink shade which complements fair to medium skin tones. It looks like a perfect MLBB shade for my skin tone but it might wash out darker skin tone. It looks so pretty on the lips with every kind of makeup. It is a perfect everyday shade and I love such natural-looking shades on me.
On me, this shade looks very nice and natural. I know it looks light in pictures but it has a nice dusky undertone. It doesn’t contain any shimmers in it. Also, the shade is well pigmented and requires maximum two swipes for perfect color payoff. It can hide pigmented lips.
Texture and Quality:
The lipstick has a smooth and soft texture that glides easily on the lips and provides an even application. But layering makes this particular shade appear a little patchy. It doesn’t cling to my dry patches and feels quite comfortable on the lips. It has a perfect velvety matte finish that looks amazing on the lips. Its non-drying matte texture keeps my lips soft and moisturised.
It works as a good matte lipstick which never feels dry. Most matte lipsticks make my lips dry but this one keeps my lips soft throughout the day. After 5-6 hours, it feels slightly dry but that doesn’t bother me much. Initially it does transfer, but once it settles down properly it stays nicely on the lips without transferring or smudging. This shade has a mild scent which doesn’t bother me much.
Staying Power:
This shade, Tender, lasts on my lips for around 6 hours and can survive a meal as well. After a heavy oily lunch, it fades a little, which is pretty common. It never looks messy and never feels dry. It doesn’t settle into the fine lines and never looks bad. It is easy to remove as well.
Overall:
It is a beautiful shade and I always love such MLBB shades. It has a good staying power and is meant for all skin tones.
