I have recently got a lot more addicted to lip liners and lipsticks than glosses. Lip colours stay so much more than glosses, yet I couldn’t forget those dazzling glosses. So, here I picked a combo! It has a glossy shine and staying power of a lippie. I picked the shade “Pink Wink” from the Lakme Absolute Gloss Addict range. This range is pretty much trending now. So, let’s see how this bright pink coloured worked for me.

My Experience with Lakme Absolute Pink Wink Gloss Addict Lipstick:

Lakme has innovated a lot with their lip colours recently and has made amazing ranges to offer. I picked up 2 shades from this range. This one comes in a long deep grey box with the lipstick inside. The lipstick comes in a dark silver cylindrical bottle with a transparent lid. The packaging is fancier than the 9to5 range that shows differentiation of prices. It is very handy and looks gorgeous in one’s kitty. But, we need to be pretty careful while closing the lid because the texture is very soft and it might just rip some lipstick off when closing it.

The shade I picked up is a bright pink one. The bullet looks very bright and we can see the bullet shade from top, so it is easy to distinguish between shades. The shade is a super bright pink and looks very neon when applied. It is something that not everyone can carry because this pink has the potential to make your skin look dark and tanned. So, I think only people with a fair skintones can carry this shade. The texture is buttery soft and glides very smoothly on the lips giving a pop of colour with just one swipe.

It has some small shimmers if you observe it closely, but they do not appear on the lips when you apply it. It is a highly pigmented shade with a balmy texture that gives you a boost of colour along with hydration to the lips. It also gives a glossy shine that instantly attracts attention. It is very creamy and due to the super high pigmentation, it settles into the fine lines and highly highlights the chapped parts of the lips. I exfoliated my lips before using it and still it highlighted the dry patches.

Yet, I managed to carry it. It stays very pigmented and glossy for the first 2 hours and then settles down to a semi matte finish which makes it a neutral pink which can be carried by everyone. After the initial 2 hours, it loses its neon touch. In all, it stays on my lips for 4-5 hours with light snacking and water sips. So all in all, I find the formula to be really great, but I wish this colour was more appropriate for most skintones.

• Settles into fine lines and highlights chapped lips
• Transfers a lot
• Not suitable for all the skin tones
• Little pricey
• Leaves shimmers on my lips after it goes away which looks tacky

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Lakme Absolute Pink Wink Gloss Addict Lipstick?
No, I will not! Women who love wearing neon can pick this up or I don’t think everyone will be able to carry it. It makes my skin tone look darker, which no one would want. So, go ahead if you can handle this beauty.
