Lakme Pink Shock 9 to 5 Crease-less Lip Color Review

As I had mentioned in my previous Lakme review, I got 3 shades from the newly-launched colors – two from the red family and one from the pink. I am reviewing the shade “Pink Shock,” today for you lovely ladies from the “9 to 5” range. There’s no doubt that it’s a pink lipstick, but do take a moment to appreciate the richness of the shade.

My Experience with Lakme Pink Shock 9 to 5 Crease-less Lip Color:

The lipstick comes in a pretty rose gold packaging with an outer paper carton with all the information details. The shade name and number are mentioned at the base but the body of the lipstick is not color coded. The cap is sturdy and shuts with a click so there is no chance of it opening up when you carry it around in your makeup pouch. It’s a pretty girly packaging, but it would have been awesome if there was a color-coded sticker.

The texture of this range is creamy and smooth. There are no shimmers in the shade, thankfully. The color does not settle into the lips and gives an even and smooth finished look. One swipe is enough to cover pigmented lips; but if you want, you can build up on the pigmentation without looking cakey. The shade can be blotted and worn as a lip stain if you are not fond of creamy, juicy lips.

“Pink Shock” is a must-have shade for all pink lovers. It is a lovely bright bold pink with bluish undertones. The shade on the tube and the shade on the lips are strikingly different, but this is not bothersome as it looks equally pretty in both the cases. If you love pink lip colors, do not miss this shade as it is sophisticated pink and not cheap. The shade can be duped but the creamy rich texture is something that is not very common considering the price point.

The staying power is not that impressive, mostly because the lipstick is so creamy that it transfers to cup/mugs, spoons, etc. With mini meals or drinks, the staying power would be 2-3 hours after which it would start fading evenly. I do not mind touching up the lip color, but if you are someone who prefer long staying lipsticks, this one is not for you.

Repurchase – I will not able to finish it up, so I will pick other shades.
Recommend – yes, if you are looking for such a shade with affordable price tag.
