How are you all? Delhi is getting colder by the day and so is my craving for hot chocolate and white chocolate mocha. Today, I am going to review my currently favourite fragrance from Layer’r. I am sure most of you would have seen the ads with Ileana in it.  She is endorsing this brand pretty well. Initially, three fragrances were launched (Secret Crush, Vanilla Twist and Mystic Island) in the market and for 30-40 days, there were always out of stock. After seeing this tremendous response, they launched three more (Crimson Chic, Amber Kiss and Emerald Fusion) which I have not been able to locate in the market. Anyhow read on to know more about this body mist.

My Experience with Layer’r Wottagirl Body Splash in Mystic Island:

I personally love the concept of body mists/splash.  I have always loved using Victoria’s Secret and Bath and Body Works body mists, they have such a huge range. We did not have any product on similar lines till this came into the market. Body mists are very light unlike your heavy duty perfumes and adds an instant freshness to your body and mood. You may not like them because of less staying power but the smell does not get on to your nerves and hence makes you feel light.

Coming to this one, when these were launched, I personally wanted to buy Vanilla twist because a) I like vanilla and b) I like the warm scent and feeling it gives, but when I sniffed it, that was too sweet for my taste and “Sweet Crush” on the other hand was a bit floral and I am no big fan of floral and then I was left with only this variant which coincidentally I even liked and SA told me that this was the most selling fragrance out of all, so bought it instantly.

The packaging as you can see is quite attractive with all colors. The bottle is actually made of plastic but from a distance it looks like glass, it is so crystal clear. The lid/cap is very sturdy and not fragile (like those bottles made of cheap plastic). The fragrance has aquatic notes and is very fresh. When you apply it, you would feel notes of orchid and flowers, but after a couple of seconds when it settles down, the aquatic notes (not woody) come forward and it feels close to ocean. The smell is something between fresh and floral notes.

The staying power is not much as it is a mist, it stays for 3-4 hours maximum leaving behind a fading smell. I find it perfect for daily wear especially in summers, but it would be perfect even in winters as I have been wearing it since the past 4 months. The best time to wear is when you go to gym or you are working out as it would provide you with a nice and fresh feel throughout the session because of its fragrance, wherein, a sweet smell may get into your head and annoy you.  Overall, I am quite impressed with the quality and quantity at this price. I am quite excited to try new fragrances.

• Staying power is not enough, but what would you expect out of a mist.
• Contains alcohol (even when it is a mist).
