My upper lip, is quite pigmented,I have wheatish complexion ,which lipstick shades would suit me?? I recently bought Maybelline Colorsensational Plaza pink which I am liking lot, any other shades can you suggest and also brands.Another thing can anyone, do a tutorial or tell me how to use foundation brush for applying foundation??I am really not able to understand, how to use it.

I use stick foundation, which is not a problem but I have probs when I use Liquid foundation without blending them with my moisturiser !

Well you can try plums and brown shades.i am also in the pretty dusky:) if you want a nude lipstick you can check out maybelline’s colorsensational lipstick in autumn rush.:)

I will say try peachy corals -Maybelline Moisture extreme in chestnut and Lakme lip artist in terracotta. Bright pinks-not flaming ones-would also look nice-just as plaza pink-try Jazzy Berry from faces. I would say avoid dark shades of brown , maroon and frosty pinks…
I am dusky as well and I love Maybelline Moisture Extreme in ‘Pure Plum’, ‘Dusty Rose’, ‘Natural Rosewood’ and ‘Fudge’; Revlon Color Sensational in ‘Hazelnut’; Colorbar Velvet Mattes in ‘Naked Pink’, ‘Iced Tea’, ‘Pure Cinnamon’, ‘Sultry Pink’, ‘Brick-o-La’ and ‘Twig’. Phew!! thats quite a list, but I hope it helps 🙂

I know taking certain names would make it too complicated.
So i would suggest that just google any actress whose complexion matches to yours and see what shades she usually wears.
You’ll get a rough idea, and next time when you go for shopping..keep those shades in mind
Hi Tapaswini, I have a dusky complexion and even my upper lip is pigmented than my lower lip,, and i think aquashine in sierra may look good on you..And the Tip Akshi gave is also a good one :yes: , i’m googling right now :snicker:
try a deep red, a deep pink. buy a matte lippie as they generally give great coverage for pigmented lips. i have the same problem. also i am presuming you are a warm toned person, if so then even shades that J Lo , Eva Mendes have rocked are good for you. Think Sushmita sen. Buy plums, pink browns for everyday wear.
I would say try stay away from deep chocolate brown, because somehow it can make u look ill. Try a pinkish or reddish brown if you must. L’Oreal Extreme spice is a nice brown red.
Revlon has nice reds for our tones called spice red and brick red. try those out.
Chambor has beautiful pinks , I am sure you will find your perfect pink there.
Maybelline has lovely plum shades. Their nudes are good too.
plums and browns wud look good…try maybelline moisture extreme chocolate temptation and burnt orange..
also colorbar velvet matte naked pink…
