My Experience with L’Oreal Lip Liner Couture by Color Riche Scarlet Rouge:

This liner comes in a wooden pencil format, with a color-coded body and a transparent cap. Sadly, the cap does not shut with a click, so have to be a bit careful before carrying it in the makeup pouch. Since the body of the lip liner is color coded, it helps to differentiate it from the other pencils from the stash, if you have more than one from the range. The details about the product is embossed on the body with golden color, giving it a glam look. The body of the wooden pencil is corrugated and hence gives a comfortable grip.

The texture of the lip liner is way too creamy. The liner is so pigmented that one stroke deposits enough color to cover the pigmentation, if any. It is so creamy that the tip crumbles when the pressure applied is not controlled. It takes a few applications to get the hang of the shade. In spite of being a wooden bodied liner, the texture is exceptionally smooth and creamy.

The shade is a gorgeous bold bridal red. It gives a dose of rich red color to the lips which lifts up the whole makeup look gorgeously. If you are not walking the ramp or going for a big party/wedding, I would suggest keeping the rest of the makeup subtle, as the lip color would grab the attention. A light peachy blush with hints of brown on the eyes would totally do justice to the shade. Word of caution: this shade is not for the weak-hearted souls.

The staying power is commendable. With snacking and sipping tea/coffee, the shade survives on my lips for more than 5 hours; after that, it starts to fade evenly. There is no drying issue with this liner and hence it can be worn alone or under a red lip color, it would work great both ways. If you are a red lover and love hoarding shades of red from various brands and of different textures, do give this a try without any second thought.
