What I Think about L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Collection Star Pinks – Katrina’s Pink:
As I said in one of my earlier reviews, I can never have enough pinks, but I have always restrained from wearing bright pinks. The only bright pink in my lipstick collection is Lakme Absolute Sculpt Pink Me Up that I bought almost a year ago. This time I thought about trying a liquid lipstick and when I saw the new L’Oreal launch, I immediately picked Katrina’s pink!
The liquid lipstick comes in beautiful matte black packaging and the color is visible through a little transparent window at the front. The wand has a tuft applicator which picks the right amount of product for each application.
The texture is thick and creamy but not sticky. It glides easily on lips with a little tingling sensation. On my slightly pigmented lips, the color appears a bit streaky first as the pigmentation of the lipcolor is not completely opaque in the first swipe. The microshimmers present add to the glossy shine and I love how it feels feather light on lips.
Katrina’s Pink is a bright Barbie pink that would suit fair skintones the best. The color sets to a semimatte finish. While applying, it looks like a blue-based pink but with time the color warms up. It doesn’t make the lips dry and sits comfortably even on the dry patches of lips. But I would suggest exfoliating lips first as after few hours of application, the color starts coming off from the same dry patches!
The best part is its staying power. Although it is a liquid lipcolor and not completely matte, it survives a full meal. It leaves a pink stain on lips which I love as it appears more like a natural lip color! A similar shade would be L’Oreal Paris Color Riche l’Extraordinaire Mat Marias Magenta 102.
