The current cold weather is drying my lips out so badly. The worst consequence is I am unable to use my matte lipsticks. So to get some moisture lipsticks, I went straight to L’Oréal Paris counter to pick their Color Riche lipsticks. With full-on party and festive season around, the shade Sparkling Amethyst fitted the bill perfectly. This color comes under the “Accord Intense” range.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Sparkling Amethyst Color Riche Lipstick:
Packaging:
The lip color comes in their usual, golden packaging with a sturdy pull-up cap. It has a color-coded sticker with the shade number and name at the bottom. It also has the shade number at the top, making it easy to pick from the lipstick stand. As the package is opaque, these details at the top and bottom of the case come in handy. The L’Oréal Paris engraving on the bullet looks classy.
Texture:
The texture is soft and smooth. It is loaded with shimmers, but is not sticky and applies evenly. This shade is super pigmented. It gives a glossy finish.
Performance:
This lip color is a beautiful shimmery plum color. It is the perfect party shade for Indian skin tones, especially medium to darker skin tones. This color goes well with both Indian and western outfits. It applies smoothly on the lips and is quite moisturizing. The lipstick has very fine, wearable shimmery particles. I normally like shimmers, and especially when they are incorporated into a lipstick. The finish is more glossy and sparkly than frosty.
The lipstick is very light and soft on the lips. As it contains Omega 3, 6, and antioxidant Vitamin E, my lips feel really nourished and not dry even in this winter season. With such soft texture, this lip color does not settle into the fine lines nor does it bleed. The pigmentation is amazing. The color is buildable without any streaky lines. The color does transfer a bit.
It stays for 4–6 hours with snack and beverage intake. The lip color does not fade away completely but leaves behind a stain with the silver shimmers. Not all will like such residue, but the shimmers are not gritty. Because of its staining property, a makeup remover is a must to remove the color. Overall, I like this color as it suits my skin tone and current dry weather.
